Ang P4k nga utang sa Coop hinayhinayan og bayad kadabuwan.
I can elect to pay it in installments of P500 aron dili kaayo bug-at bayaran.
    Period!

Ridiculous right?! Ngano god tawng mangutang para lang i-invest?!
But the fact is, ang P5k lissoooooooodddd kaayo tingumon. Labi na kung hard-earned money.
Unless parehas mo ni Sir Frank...
So, to force yourself from having savings, this is the best way. Kana, if intrested jud ka maka-save og maka-invest.

You can give it a try. Suway og save og P500 kada-buwan.
IF you can do it for 10 months, pwede naka mo-invest(in MF ni TS kay mao man ni ang direction sa thread) . (Or invest somewhere else nga need og P5k.)
IF lagi pod! That is ...IF... you can hold on to your savings for 10 months!
Ahahahaha! If moingon ta'g 2 months, ok jud noon. Pero 10 months? Ambot lang!

By way of utang first, you are forcing yourself to save.

    ...just my 2 cents...
    (my wife's 2 cents diay)
Hehehe..wala koy Mutual Fund company bro ha..hehehe..

And by the way, saving or investing is a choice man.

Basta lang use the formula for your own good if you believe in the power of saving and investing.
    Income - Savings = Expenses

Debt elimination is psychological. Change your debt habits first.

I agree. Control your spending habits. One way you can do this is not to carry your ATM card. Carry only money you plan to spend on a daily basis. Sacrifice your pleasures and you will be rewarding yourself with a character of a good saver. Always ask "If I buy this, what effect could that give me long term?" always think of long term. Yes its easier said than done. Rome was not built in one day. You may also ask yourself "What is the most valuable use of my money in the future?".

Just a side note, sometimes you need to borrow money in order to invest. Borrowing is not dangerous, its what you do with the money that's dangerous. Opportunities only comes once and most usually it won't stop at your doorstep twice. So there may be times you need to borrow in order to grab the opportunity presented to you at your doorstep.

The debt habits has changed but the damaged has been done. So, where should the individual go to fully eliminate the outstanding debt. Do we have a local program or existing non-profit org that could help?

managing your own money is hard

    simply because..

most people are very dishonest to themselves when it comes to finances...

its very stressful and saddening to face the music

your lifestyle may look good but your finances may say otherwise...

kung ako lang, i will increase the cash flow. looking for another job, starting a business, or investing in MF are good options. get rid of the debt gradually, kung dako ang utang, the best way to eliminate it is to break it down and pay it in small increments. regarding organizations, coops and banks might be another viable option but the drawback is that paying debt with loans (another debt) is not a really good idea.

For me: tungod kay kasagaran ana nila ang mga istorya kay puro GENERALIZED. Dli suited/tailored para sa akong situation or financial status.

Akong gibuhat sa akong 10k? akong gisulod sa PAMI sa Philam. Ingon man akong mama. hehehe.
