Taking calls 8 hours a day/ 5 days a week is no joke. Making English as your main language for the week is again not something you would want to do for the rest of your life. Call center people are paid way above the minimum wage because it takes more than guts, brains and exposure to cellular damage to work on this crazy environment. Congratulations to those who survived. Good luck to those who want to try it.

blame the employer, call center agents are paid by foreigners while the public servants are paid by our corrupt government... dont blame the agents coz they're just doing their jobs

    peace y'all

    Look oh...

    Taxis don't run at night
    fewer people in boracay
fewer peolple spending starbucks but rather go with nescafe 3in1
fewer people spending excess money like cellphones, fashionista clothes, trips to hongkong can is now affordable to a 18 year old.
Fewer travels for jeepneys(they travel now starting at 4am and imagine, ang musakay ani sa una kna rang mu-ad2 og mercado)
no schools that teaches "how to get in call centers" which means more business to other aspiring teachers
fewer people eating out... In expensive places
fewer people drinking out.... Imagine ccagents drink at 7am to 7pm?!!
More business for engineers more buildings
pulis? Same thing, they still sleep at night
Aids? You are bound to run into it if you dont choose who you harbat

And the lists goes on and on on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and.....

Now if you see these cc agents sitting in a coffee shop talking english to fellow pinoy > that's what you call social climber or your trying too hard to fit in sis

no pun intended to ts, just sharing my view. This is a happy conversation. Walay masuko. Just the facts dba?

Bro, with all due respect. I would like to ask why is that you are so negative with the salaries of CC agents? Based on your post, I assume that you really don't have any idea at all why we are having these big salaries and incentives. Bro, don't say that some post/answers are ignorant because it has been explained well already. Ikaw yung ignorant, and your nickname really fits your personality "Recycle Bin", sa tagalog pa basurahan or lagayan ng mga "JUNK" goods.. Don't wait for other CC agents to see this thread of yours cz for sure you'll receive a lot of negative comments. And don't get mad at us, dahil ba marunong kaming mag-english? Eh di mag-aral ka din then tsaka ka mag-apply, then use me as your reference on your Resume. I'm willing to help you bro. Just say so. Move on cz even if your eyes will shed blood, it will never erase the fact that CC agents are precious living organism here in our country. Hope this will end this thread.

@jdmaspack i also don't think cebu can have northwing and terraces this early, thanks to the ripple effect brought by a call center agent's spending power..

I dont agree.. call center agents is not the business thats running cebu, yes some but not all. And even if walay call center sa cebu. Ayala terreces and sm northwing would still be there.

So please ayaw intawn mog claim. your misinformed.....

Yah bro I agree with you... exaggerating ra sad ning uban. I also work sa BPO industry but I wouldn't say nga tungod ra sa mga BPO Companies nga nanulod sa Cebu mao na nga niunlad ang cebu. 1 factor ra gyud mi sa "nakatabang ug padaghan sa business establishment diri sa Cebu".

Sagdi lang na si BoiKrypton kay unsaon ta man nga mao man na ang iyang namind-set. Maybe after reading your post kay makabalo ra sya nga sayop sya.

CC career is not that easy, u have to make the nyt ur day...am an agent and am proud of my job, as one way of giving back to our teachers, military and other government employees, we have huge taxes to pay...though sometimes, we're treated badly in government offices. you don't have any idea of what our job is, everyday is a struggle, waking up at dawn when the majority are sleeping is a difficult battle to win, ur dealing with stress everyday.. don't make a general conclusion that AIDS is for CC agents, ur mistaken..anyone can have it! hope u learn to respect this job even a little, coz that's a major contributor of government taxes >>come to think of it ...

    Bro,

I have nothing against call center business. In fact mao ni naka pa downgrade sa among profession.

Gawas lang sa computer and ece. kay linya man gyud na nila. but for other engineers, like chemical, civil, mechanical, metallurgical, geo... unya nag call center, paka uwaw ni!
