i remembered a story about a congressman somewhere in negros who used to be an anchorman (wa nako ka remember eya name), wa na mubalik lansar after a term in congress.. why?? because he concluded nga dili sya maayo nga position for the faint hearted.. dili lalim nga trabaho, daghan magsige pangayo nemo..from the smallest thing like palit everyday nga pakaon to tuition fee sa anak anha ipangayo nya.. he then concluded that it is impossible not to be corrupt in this position because the people just keeps coming and keeps on asking thinking nga dako kaayo sweldo pero dili na diay enough para lang sa mga solicitations...

try working for a politician especially mayor or congressman , just for kicks lang, and a months time or maybe observe a mayors office in a day and you would see what I'm talking about...

yes i am very much convinced with ur thoughts. ok na lng unta kung ang kinawat ihatag ra(murag robinhood ba) but kng ang kinawat para ra sa iyang kaugalingon ug kaugalingoiong pamilya mao nay pinakabulok. imagine, pila ra man ang sweldo sa congressman?dli man na kapalit ug mansion ug uban pang kayutaan intawn oi. obyus kau mangurakot ba. bang.an ra kaau sa iyang mga tao. im talking about no other than rep. neri ruiz. gibang.an xa sa taga mandaue? maong dli na ko moboto niya. gatoo guro an xa nga masud na sad ta niya sa bulsa ay. yahay!

i do hope mka try ko ani. i have relatives who are in politics but wala mn ko nka dungog ani. dili mn sd gd dako iyang position.

i agree with ur comment. so we should all be knowledgeable in knowing the different platforms of a certian acandidate and how well he or she has done in the past as a leader in the society. and with this knowledge being used to weigh thungs, i 100 percent decided to vote for Mayor Cortes since he got the competence and has shown a great deal of being responsible in his term!
