LED tv is not very bang for the buck IMO, too pricey.

Basically LED-backlit means they have individual LEDs that light up just a part of the screen. OLED is slightly different since they don't light up an LCD panel like LED-backlit do but they employ a similar approach (lighting up just a part of the screen, smaller parts than LED) using organic material. All these in contrast to the traditional CCFL--which basically lights up the whole screen with a single fluorescent light source. Both LED and OLED simply means crispier, brighter pictures and lower temperature and power consumption for the same viewing size counterpart CCFL LCD TV.
Active Matrix (AM in the AM OLED) just means it has a wider viewing angle.

For me lang LED LCD TV is just an enhancement lang using LED instead of using the traditional fluorescent lights and thats the only difference and its not bang for the buck jud too pricey....and youre right about it.
Anyway in my case Im looking for a bang for the buck and I prefer LCD TV's this time.Last edited by yugi; 02-21-2010 at 01:06 PM.
