hmm.. such a sensitive topic eh... flaming posts, pointless ones, and all sorts... appreciate all your responses.

now, there's this one person i could recall how he motivated his trainees during language training..

"Do not be embarassed when you say something grammatically incorrect, enunciated something incorrectly.. We don't learn from perfections, only conclusions... We learn through mistakes.. Do not mind those people who get intimated by your loud mouth when you talk English... Why? Because it is part of your job. Are they paid when they exert effort to criticize you? NO. So how much more for you when you are paid to exert effort to speak english effectively? Learning has no limits nor boundaries.. The only and the best way to practice yourself with the language is to talk the language itself.."

Personally, I think bringing the EOP policy outside of the office is fine --so long as you make sure that when you're in the office you really do speak in English. It's just that I have noticed that some of the agents will speak in vernacular in the office and when they get out of the building, they immediately speak in English. What the? Is that just a for show or something? Haha. =]

Make sure that if you do that, you don't sound like an arrogant trying hard copycat or OA. Haha. That's what irritates me, I mean if you sound off or awkward better not speak in english unless you have to? I guess for me, the tone or the way the person speaks irritates me, not the fact that he/she's speaking n English. =] It's good actually that you're trying to enhance your skills right? To perform better at work. ;]

as for me. .there is nothing wrong with it .. its the people who makes a fuzz about it that's making it wrong.. we might deny it. .but its part of being a "pinoy" to mind everything even to a smallest details of other peoples business. .if you speak english, bisaya, tagalog or watever dialect you want to speak go ahead its ur ryt.. ITS NOT HILAS.. ITS NOT OA .. if you feel using that dialect then go ahead.. don't mind wat other people would say. .ITS YOUR RIGHT! !..

^^^its not actually making just a fuzz we are trying to come up with opinions for a collective analysis
and if theres no "fuzz" for us to care of in this world then this forum wouldnt have prosper.
forums are put up because of the "fuzzes" going on around and we here are feasting on that fuzz.
    peace!!

    sorry OT
