Suggestion: Anime Convention?

@all: I'll sound like a manager here but please bear with me Plan the scope of the convention first. What will the first Cebu Anime Convention include and exclude? Based on my experience, think first of the exceptions (way labot). In addition, it's also better to be less "ambitious". Start small, think big. Similar conventions in the past started out this way. It also doesn't even have to be too expensive. We can probably do it at UP-Cebu where liberal thinking and behaviour are accepted (so Cosplays can happen).

Allow me to introduce myself I am Vic Yap (cebuano pud) head of Collectibles Unlimited the group that has been organzizing the Philippine Toy Convention here in Manila for the past 5 years .Pls. check out our website: www.toyconph.tk

As early as July we have been discussiing with SM (our partner in the last toycon event this year) the possibility of having a toycon in Cebu this coming January for the Sinulog.The date we have set is Jan. 5-6 thats the only available date sa SM Megatrade Hall 2.

We contacted Warren (aka: watts) and Donald Que about our plans and we are still negotiating with them how to go about it.In as much as your planned event is an integral part of the toycon why don`t we join forces.

This is only a suggestion and by all means we are not here to compete but to help each other out just as what we have done here in Manila .I suggest you form a team and assign a team leader and try to meet up with Warrens` group.I know with the combination of your groups there and mine here , we can pull this through.

I hope you can set the direction and if you think our proposal is favorable then pls. do advise so I can tell Warren any new developments.
