mo gawas this september ang puli sa a700 which is the equivalent to the d300 sa nikon. it will feature a 24mpix sensor that nikon is also gonna use. ang a77 na puli sa a700 slt ghapon and since this a prosumer camera it will be built really tough just like the a700. magnesium body and weathersealed. it will feature a 12fps kuno. na dugay ug release kai sony wants it perfect when they release it.

kon gusto ka mo try sa slt a33 go to sony center ayala, pag dala ug sd card nya e try ila slt a33. take sample shots and video (really fast focus video kilawon ang video sa d90 ani as commented from d90 users). then when you go home e pixel peep ang image.

its not yet a perfect system but it shows really great promise in the technology. after all the a55 was voted as camera of the year, mao ni ang 10 fps and a33 kai 7fps.

the electronic viewfinder is now considered the best in class. and the next generation will be using the oled technology. imagine hinig adjust sa imo manual settings ang results makita daan sa electronic viewfinder bisag wa pa ka kablit sa shutter. nothing can be simpler than this when using ambient lignt in manual settings.

kon lig onai lang ang istoryahon, sony offers a 3 year philippine warranty. ayaw kahodlok ug gamit sa sony alpha. was sab na g butang sa warranty na shutter life sa sony alpha. basta solod sa 3 years rak rak.

service center lang istoryahan, sony has the best dslr service center in the philippines kai ako g pa service akong a100 kai nagyagaw ang shutter button. g ilisan nila under warranty so free with in 11 days nagamit na nako ug usab.

nice topic guys...pero ask lang ko ni koto,,,sa imong pag duwa2x didto, did u tried to upload it sa PC imo kuha and compared the result sa imo 5d2 or any canon/nikon entry/mid level nalang?? and all the ISO setting imo ba na compare up to 1600?

ni ask lang ko kay im not a pro,just a gearhead pero naa koy duha ka FF nikon...

ang ako experience ani sony is just a Point & shoot & sadly, dili maayo og quality..after 2 years bati na og kuha..not like my canon P&S kay morag lig-on pa more than 3 years na ni..murag papaliton jud kag bag-o every 2 years...hahaha... i hope lahi ila system sa DSLR..i am sure if ila lang jud ni i-advertise pag-ayo, they will get there..

yup 3yes but take note thats one of the 2nd reason why i move to canon because sony 3yrs is limited, specially on the 3rd year. based on my experience i service my sony a100 6 times! in 3years -
Reason ka daghan nako gi pa service cuz heavy user pud ko sa ako dslr both for personal use and work specially sa bigfoot days nako 2 months of use from mon-sat whole day shooting in the sun sa lilo-an yacht port, almost 400-700 shots ako ma himo in a day for documenting scenes and BTS sa projects nila did2 so far ang na guba lang ana kit lens 18-70mm autofocus ring na guba.

1st service is the rubber grip getting lose
2nd service is cleaning the sensor and again replacing the rubber grip

3rd same prob with yours lots of dirt is accumulated in the shutter button so sometimes half press for autofocus wont work .
4th service replacement of top plate because nag fade ang buttons and dials

5th service is rubber grip again and "super steady shot" function is not working (this is the time they start to fail big time, it took them 20days to get the camera, plus they did not fix the steady shot prob) i didnt not return it for servicing because i need the camera for my job but i have to work with it with out the SSS feature.
6th sensor cleaning, view finder cleaning, replacement of faded lcd and steadyshot
they somehow fix the steady shot but the problem came back after a few weeks, it seems they did not fiz it well. Then BIGGEST disappointment is they did not replace or clean the haze problem of my lcd, and the viewfinder dust.

This is the big lose for them because it is the time that i decided to go pro and invest hundreds of thousands for a new system. and decided di ko ka salig sa full 3yrs sa sony. sayang paman a great camera with a bad Philippine service so i decide to go for nikon but the agency told me to use any camera na more than 21mp yikes likay nalang ko nikon kay d3x nila $8k at that time so canon nalang, suppose to be Sony a850 ko pero na bad trip lang ko sa after sales

this is a real world testimonial boss...thumbs up...so even naay service center, di gyud diay ghapon advantage sa usa ka system..

i was a canon user before too (5d2 and 40D)naka try ko sa ila service pud and na dismaya ko..well i enjoyed the system quite some time but the urge to shift to nikon kay perting grabeha (due to colors,ISO sensitivity and the ergo)at first nahadlok ko mo shift kay wa silay service center diri,pero due to some of my fellow photogs experiences, naka shift gyud ko...now, im in-love with the nikon FX format system (gamit kaau sa ako portfolio/nature sa ako business) i spent too much for my system now pero super happy with it, di kabayran,heheehh

mao ni ask ko, is sony competitive enough interms of handling high ISO and colors? if e upload na sa PC or web sharing purposes?

@koto, considering your experience with sony service center, i would still rate it as better than the rest. from what i have heard for nikon users who really want good repairs. they would opt for singapore. while canon takes up to six months to repair my friends 2.8 lens.
