@skyknight mura naman na sya spaceship..nindot and gauges niya.

@SPRINGFIELD_XD_40 I guess buying the spark plugs nga nindot will also add economia sa car and they say mas nindot jud daw ang effect..Im not really sure unsa nga klase nga plugs toh...please clarify.

springfield, in my opinion, mas better pa if you stick with your stock motor lang sa then save up for an engine swap in the future kay mas sulit na nga option and mas dili labad sa ulo kay 1 time ra. mind you, in reality its more expensive to build a n.a. angine for racing purposes. might as well go for the 4g63T engine but i dont think the 1st genearation engine will fit your car cause your car's engine placement is 180 degrees the other way as compared to the engines of the 93-94 lancer.4g63T can handle up to 20 psi boost with stock internals lang. pero the basic i/h/e will do for your existing motor. ok sad ang 4g92 dohc mivec kay murag paminaw nako mas walay labad sa ulo ang n.a. gud.

@ riko diko, i/h/e upgrades will help your car "breathe" better lang, basin mu economiya gamay ang auto sir but very minimal lang. a common notion is that mukusog jud kuno ang auto kung naka i/h/e but i think more on sige lang kag pabulhot plus nindot na ug tingog so psychologically, ma feel nimo nikusog which also ends up to more gas consumption kay sige nag pabulhot. hehehe.

@ norrissee, tan-aw nya ta unsay ayo inig july 8. hehehe.

same concept gud bai.. like isa ka container na water if the capacity na ma kaya sa bottle is 1 liter 1 liter ra dyud na maskin unsaon pa nimo pag butang ana.. same sa imo engine if 1.5 ra 1.5 ra dyud na cya ryt? sa una naa ko eg6 grabe ka daghan upgrades but na notice nko it really depends on the engine...

bai l3ster sakto ka 1liter is 1liter. but "how efficient" your 1 liter is, is a different story.

bai richie, i'm thinking of getting an IHE upgrade as long as sure ko nga it's good for the engine and maka improve sa fuel efficiency. kung pa bulhot-bulhot ka then syempre kalas jud na ug gas pero that is controllable kay naa ra man na nimo.

DI ko racer bai and di ko mo racing hehehe ... humana ko ana . You are right regarding building an NA motor but how much are you willing to go ? Again .... I dont race , just a little kick . 4G63T are popluar motor swaps for the Lancers / Cyborgs and Mirages . Gamay ra siya na fabrication himuon to perfevtly fit it in the bay. BNTW bai ... a 4G63T with stock internals can handle boost up to 20 PSI ? You are misinformed bai unless you are talking about the RB26 or the 2JZ .

@ HANZLANUZA .... good park plugs will just give you good spark in ignition no more and no less bai . The best way to save gas is leave the engine moving parts stock .

    Guys and Gals,

I'm not sure if this is the right thread to ask, but seems you're experts. I drove an old car which is a 1989 1.8L Mitsubishi galant and still uses a carburator. They said that I need to check the tappets to make sure that my engine is performing well.

    What are tappets?

and how does it affects the engine's performance?

Can I adjust it myself or do I need to bring it to the shop?

How would I know if the adjust is correct?

How often would I check the tappets?

How would I know if it's time to have it adjusted?

Any suggestions and advise is highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

springfield, i'm sure the 1st generation 4g63T cand hundle up to 20 psi of boost with stock internals. i think "facapino" can atest to that. regarding the engine, i would have to say that basic i/h/e will be adequate enough for that extra kick needed and balances for a good daily driven car but then again it depends on your preference. good day.
