I work for dell but I find our systems crappy specially with the inspiron 2200, 1200, 1000 which is not actually a real dell computer and is not manufactured by dell at all, 600m or the lattitude d600 has a blue tooth issue, if u have the bluetooth card integrated,
hard drive usually don't last for a year and espaecially the brands they put like western digital and hitachi which is really a bad brand their the ones that ussually crash, mobo are msi but designed by dell, support is good though

how did you know delikado ang lcd sa toshiba?

dell namo na 486 circa 1995, karon pa nag binuang, pang document writing na lang gud, IBM portables is now owned by a china company, so barato na kaayo, although maayo gihapon mamuhat ang china kay asus and mac powerbooks are manufactured there. Bantay sa Asus kay naay models na dili maayo ang ilang combo drive na samsung that goes with it (ngano kaha nag samsung na maayo man unta ilang mga CDrom). Just fixed an Asus W1000 laptop, less than a year pa walay malmal, blema sa cd rom, labad pa jud kaayo ang firmware upgrade from samsung, dili mo recognize sa model. HP nindot sad ug multimedia, u can use without external speakers, the asus, lisod kaayo even with a built-in sub woofer, although the white laptop is very nice to use sa dark kay hayag kaayo ang keyboard like the powerbook. It all boils down to model, (in terms of unsay components gi gamit inside), and for the usage. Like ur desktop, check out each major component sa laptop, but kung overall quality lang as is without any tweaks:
1) powerbooks
2) asus
3) dell
4) Ibm
5) nya, HP,compaq ug toshiba pareho parefo lang
my experience with compaq is with the desktops, labad kaayo, daghang xtra xtra, nya makapahinay diay kaayo especially sa bootup and processing.
Just as any of you can setup a kick ass desktop na better than any branded(except maybe the G5) just by choosing the components, compare components sa mga laptop.
