no question bai nga military superpower ang US, pero it's not necessarily the most professional, much less the best. pound-for-pound Israel has a stronger defense force.

Apollo Program - $22.7 Billion in 13 years, employing about 500,000 people.

But yes, if billions were spent, and 150,000 people were involved, it's not entirely a bad idea to start imagining of super high tech "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter" or Crysis Body Armor stuff, being tested and used currently

If you're referring to the amount of money spent in the Apollo program, your simply lack the proper understanding as to why human beings need to explore space, thereby making it difficult for you to understand why we HAVE to spend billions or even trillions of money on space travel.

It's the appreciation of long term view of how humanity should flourish, rather than an earthbound, short term civilization outlook.

You're going to talk about poverty, world hunger, unequal rights, injustice...sure, sure...I'm not putting less weight on these issues, even though some may view that I am belittling the other, more "pressing issues" that humans are concerned with in this world today...

...but if YOU put less weight on the need to explore space, you're even more wrong than me.

Paris Hilton's *** video was of better quality than that, not to mention the movements weren't consistent with someone running through grass and rough terrain. But if you guys want to continue to debate that topic because it sounds smart to, feel free. Without verifiable facts though, you guys just sound stupid.

EDIT: I don't know about what kinds of exercises Filipinos/Americans are currently doing, but i know for a FACT that when Abu Sayyaf took hostages, there were American boots on the ground. There goes that whole constitution thing.

Feel free to write a book based on a single bad quality video. You've already written the first two chapters. When you finish, you can come back to the discussion and actually get on topic.

EDIT: People moan and complain about the US trying to be the world's "police". People seem to forget what happened the last two times the US became isolationist. They were called World War I and World War II. The rest of you mofos can't keep your guns in your pants, now you have to be forced to. Booo hooo.

I apologize for going off-topic with the posts on the video. I just got carried away with Tarmac's own detailed analysis and speculations as well. Both he and I know each other well from another forum, and there, we usually have this tendency of spiraling off into other topics of interest while on a topic that's totally of a different issue. So yes, my mistake was mistaking this forum for that other forum, and again, I sincerely apologize to all those felt harrassed, maligned or affected in any other way by my slight off-tangent from the topic.

I am not an expert in video processing nor video compression techniques, and was just elaborating on Tarmac's post. Thus a scenario of me actually finishing such a book would be too far-fetched, and it will only lead to me NOT being able to get back into topic in this post due to the lack of expertise in trying to tie together a topic on the quality of videos and American Military Intervention in the Philippines, and how I feel about it.

You are right, I was wrong. I hope that makes you happy and just.

    Hi friends,

Thank you for what has been a very interesting discussion. I'm happy to see that only a few wild conspiracy theorists really have a problem with the help America has offered in Mindanao. I loved the Philippines when I visited there, and it pleases me very much that America and the Philippines are such close allies. Thanks again,

    -Chris

Are we to assume that the US know the interests of others?

LIke it really mattered if they are here or not .

When time comes needing assistance wether from disasters , miitary interest or just plain employment considering the recession is over or prior to the recession , we lean to UNCLE SAM . Kinsay makiglalis nako na the Philippines dont need the US ( if walay recession or heck even if there is ) ? That is just the bigger picture .

On a delimited issue , MILITARY PRESENCE is a good thing because it provides training and exchange of technologyto our local armed forces .
" A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. " - 2nd Amendment , Bill of Rights of the United States of America
