I know the expression "actually" is overused, but that aside, I don't see how it's used wrong, gramatically - as an opening.

Would you rather everyone say "Fact is.. " or "In actual sense .." or whatnot?

a cebuano peculiarity i noticed (and my pet peeve) is the expression "way back in 2005" or any year that is only 3 or 5 years from the present. why not simply say "back in 2005"...?

to me, "way back" refers to years and years ago, as in 20 years ago or something like that, and doesn't apply to fairly recent history.
