I'm an amateur astronomer. I was past president (and founder) of the MSU-IIT Astronomical Society from 2004-2007. I design and build Dobsonian reflecting telescopes that can allow one to see the rings of Saturn and the crescent shape of Venus-overtaking-earth.

Not all physicists are astronomers. I have Pinoy physicist friends who aren't into astronomy--one is into particle physics in France, and the other builds super-efficient solar panels in Batangas.
