Libug na man - To answer your question: Balik na lang ta sa water para mas claro.
From my understanding - here's why:
AGP - 8x
8x = small hole for the bottle
PCI-express
16x = bigger hole for the bottle
NOW - COVER HALF OF THE HOLE so that it's the same hole size that we have with COKE above.
Why? half of the hole is used to empty the bottle, the other half is for filling the bottle.
see below
PCI express only doubles the bandwidth - YES BUT!!! 8x downstream and 8x upstream.
AGP 8x is using all the bandwith - 8x. 1 direction only. If you want to put water in, simple flip the bottle and put water.
-- Mao man guro ni ang explanation. PCIe has a lot more bandwidth. It will be able to write data back to memory at the same time, something AGP doesn't do very well. PCIe has room to grow (16x). That's where the new PCIe come in - 8800gts and 9800gts, the new Geforce GTX 280 (ATI - HD3850 to HD4870) - Higher bandwidths. Plus the PCIexpress flexibility - Dual Video cards.
