Christmas & New Year is approaching... More holidays the family have time together... Clan Reunions, School Bacthes Reunions, etc...

This is an opportunity for us to teach the youngster in basic education instead of food trip...

My family is doing this kind of practice since of my KANHI grand parents. During holidays and summer my grand father telling us a lot of tales story and then he teach us basic mathematics and algebra. My grand mother teaches the prayers from The Apostle Creed, Our Father, Hail Mary, etc .... And our parents will provide the materials and responsible for the food... hmmmm yummmy i really misses this event...

This time, is my reponsibility already, my parents giving me a list for materials needed for my nephews and nieces....

The government should look into the reports that only 14 out of 100 students is graduating from college. The quality of our education should not be compromised since it should be one of our priorities.

We can help in our own ways. I am also a volunteer teacher for some thirty students in our community who will be taking up an aptitude test for those people who were not able to finish high school. In February next year, they will be taking an exam, which is an initiative of the Department of Education. Once they passed, they will be given certificates equivalent to high school diplomas so they can start taking up their college degrees.

Good news to all students. There will be a total of 79,000 students around the country will be getting a free education through the scholarship grants from the 2007 National budget that will be oversee by CHED of Science and Technology, TESDA and National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP).

With the different projects now that have been implementing in improving the education system in the country, this free education could also be helpful most especially to those students who are being hindered because of the financial problems.

^^ Scholarships should be given to these well deserving students such as the indigenous people and the less fortunate ones.

With this, they will be given opportunity to get their most valued education for free. Hopefully, they will give it back to this country once they graduate.

^ I don't think it's hopeless. We may be thriving right now to save the quality of education that we have, but it's not really hopeless. If only all of us could see the point that we should all be helping out on our own to maintain quality of education that we have. It may be in the form of airing our sentiments or better yet, cooperating with the government programs to help the less fortunate ones and the quality of education in general.

The government cannot do it alone. It needs the cooperation of its people.
