it's been eons but many humans are still finding it hard to fathom that, in life, happiness and sorrow go hand in hand. it's just the way it is in this plane. people cannot have one without the other. they cannot accept one and reject the other. asking if He is there "when life hurts" is just like asking if He is there when it doesn't.

when it hurts and it feels like dying, it's when I feel Him most. It is when I feel His presence most. It is when I am closest to Him. The pain I am going through right now is like the Andes rolled into one gargantuan ball and bouncing on me unceasingly. It's almost unbearable but because of Him, here I am right now trying to heal from all the hurt, trying to accept that there are people who just don't know how to respect others and would easily tramp on you. Because of Him, I am slowly coming to terms with the idea that I can forgive these people and would eventually forgive them for their callousness. At the end of the day, when everything is just unbelievably unbelievable, He is right there to calm my heart and believe that yes, things can still be possible.
