How to Get PASSPORT in CEBU CITY

Mga migo, comment lang ko kay nagsugod nako ug duda sa agency nga ako gipaprocess sa ako passport.

ang ila office kay naa sa pinaka last na room kalinya lang sa old DFA building...they told me the earliest possible release date would be between end of march or first week of april..they had me pay 1900, rush na ni siya. I was surprised nga @nakaigo said feb 23 ang release date knowing na last week sad ko nag adto sa agency...maayo pa diay milinya ko DFA.

UPDATE! Went there today at around 10AM and nahuman ko almost 3pm. Honestly, it turned out to be okay man - not the typical impression nga grabe nga linya linya. It would be more of a "waiting" challenge kay by batch of 20 applicants ang tawagon.

I brought NSO Birth Certificate, kadtong sa LCR sad, NBI Clearance (travel abroad), photocopy of 2 valid IDs, (SSS ug TIN ID ako dala), actual IDs, ITR, ug CTC sa ako TOR.

Here's my experience:
1. Go get a priority number from the information booth, I got no. 226 (fair enough for someone who arrived at around 10am, hehe). Before ihatag nila ang priority number, dapat isubmit nimo sa information booth attendant ang requirements (at least 5 documents daw, apart from the filled-out application form, naa ni manong guard ang mga application form). They will get 1 ID in exchange of your priority number.

After makuha ang priority number, sultian ka nga balik ka sometime later. I was advised nga mobalik ko 12PM - 1PM and in fact gitawag gyud ako number ana mga orasa. By batch ang pagtawag nila, batch of 20 people.

2. Once gitawag na imo number, proceed ka sa processing area, likod lang gyud sa information booth. Ingnan ka nga ipa photocopy daan imo mga docs before ka moproceed sa processing area. In my case, ako na gipaphotocopy tanan before going to DFA para less hassle, to save time sa linya linya pa photocopy. So sa processing area, medyo convenient na ni nga part, and paspas sad. Maglingkod ra ka, pero sunod sunod japon ang arrangement ninyo, naa man guard mo giya asa ka molingkod, sa left - for applicants through agencies, sa right - mga individual applicants. 3 Windows na ang mo process.

My suggestion: Be courteous sa imo pag istorya sa mga naa sa Windows 1 - 3 kay medyo pilian ni sila. Naa koy nakaila nga applicant nga wala dawata iya requirements kay wala siya baptismal certificate. Akoa kay gidawat though wala ko baptismal, we're both fresh applicants for a passport. IMO, mas "strong" pa ang iya mga documents kaysa sa ako. Depende ra gyud na sa moprocess, swerte swerte.

3. OK, after the assessment and confirmation nga gidawat imo mga requirements, he/she will ask you if rush ba or dili. Ako kay gipa rush, I was then coursed through Payment area, hatagan ka sa imo receipt with the release date handwritten on it. Sa ako kay Feb 10 and release date pero not sure if mafollow ba gyud ni nga date. So I'm considering 3rd week of Feb - which is way better than what the agency had promised me before, between end of March or first week of April.

4. After making the payment, proceed na sa ID Capture/Encoding area. Same system, lingkod lingkod until moabot imo turn. Be very cautious sa encoding na part kay medyo ma overlook ang ubang words, ma misspell or naay ma abbreviated-looking pero nasayop na diay siya ug type, i.e, CITY, na type niya as CTY which is wrong. So always balik balika gyud pagtan.aw sa screen while iya gitype imo info. Lisod na if masayop, bayad na sad, hassle na sad!

Next, they'll take your left and right thumbmarks. Picture-taking follows. No smiling, wala alahas. Wear collared shirts, hehe, if nag tshirt ra ka, naa man sila cape ipasul-ob nimo, mura harry potter. Lastly you have to write your signature on their unsabato, basta stylus ang gamit hehe para ma upload diretso imo pirma.

5. After sa ID Capturing/Encoding, you will be advised to proceed to Window 10 for information verification, review lang ka sa imo information na sad, pirma na sad.

Then you're done!

Advices:
1. Bring your own pen, I was so helpful ganina kay 4 persons gyud to nakahulam sa ako pen.
2. As you will be advised to go back after few hours, instead of sitting there in their waiting area, take your time maglaag sa mall oi, buy some refreshments. Though airconditioned ang waiting area, medyo alimoot gyud siya sa kadaghan sa taw. Much better magdala na lang ka paypay.
3. I recommend nga mag apply individually. Mas makalangan ug agency oi! Mahal pa gyud! Same lang gyud ang effort if ikaw mismo ang moadto sa DFA. Mas maayo pa ang magkuha ug passport kaysa maglinya para NBI Clearance. There was this manong na nag.ask if sa agency sad daw ko kay same date amu releasing date sa passport, told him nga I decided to do this on my own para maka advise sad ko sa ako mga friends ug manghod ug unsaon. So mao to siya, nagmahay.

bai, if last week lang ka nag apply sa agency, ok pa man kuhaon. Like what I did, nag agency man gyud ko una, humana gyud ko bayad nila pero ako gikuha balik and I told her (agent) ako na lang mo process, misugot ra man siya. Ako gibayaran ang agent ug 100 for the inconvenience. Way atik, dugay gyud kaayo if mag agency ka kaysa ikaw mismo mo process. Nag appearance nimo, mao ra nga effort. Linya linya ra japon.

1200 ang rush, 15 working days.
950 ang regular processing, dunno pila ka days.

Nahulog na 4 ra ka docs imo nahatag bai, ang gawas ani kay: 1. NSO Birth Certificate, 2. Civil Registrar Birth Certificate, 3. Photocopy of 2 Valid IDs, 4. Driver's License.

I am not sure pero kulangan ka usa. Pwede man guro ka magkuha ug NBI Clearance, Certified True Copy of TOR, or karaan nimo nga ITR (income tax return). Mas okay ang manobra kaysa makulang, hassle baya maglinya linya balik, plus, naa pa gyud moprocess nga pilian - kutihan kaayo.
