There was no pre-draft workout today. June 2, 2010. But expect a "big day" on Thursday on players coming in according to Matt Devlin.
Note: there are rumors that the Raptors are buying another lottery pick.
Hedo Turkoglu wants out of Toronto...
He wanna go back and play to Sacramento...
From a reliable source: Phone lines are buzzing between Memphis-Toronto and OKC-Toronto.
OKC 18+21 for Raptors' 13th pick - Trade Discussions Ongoing
New Orleans - Oklahoma City trade (18+21 for 11) deal not going to happen I hear. OKC is talking to Memphis and Toronto about it now instead
Much to my disbelief, the Toronto Raptors select North Carolina forward Ed Davis with the 13th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. Definitely not what I was expecting/hearing.
Yeah in exchange for 2013 2nd round pick and cash. I don't know the guy but I think he will be Nathan Jawai part deux.
On the other hand, Magic talked about a Turkoglu return.
Magic GM Otis Smith said after Thursday’s NBA draft that he had discussions with the Toronto Raptors about a trade that would return former Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu to Orlando. Turkoglu wants out of Toronto after just one season.
“We’ve had conversations with Toronto and nothing transpired,” Smith said.
I guess this is goodbye.
Bryan Colangelo has finally gone there.
After months of saying he was not sure what his star player, Chris Bosh, would do come Thursday’s free agency, the Raptors’ president and general manager is now conceding that Bosh is probably leaving Toronto.
“I think it’s likely that he will leave,” Colangelo told Prime Time Sports on the Fan 590 on Monday.
Colangelo said a sign-and-trade between the Raptors and the team Bosh decides to go to is possible, but he did not guarantee it. He added that it might not be a player that comes in return, but a trade exception that would allow the Raptors to take on extra salary in a later deal.
Bosh is widely expected to leave, especially after the playoffs, when he was seen courtside in Los Angeles and having dinner with fellow free agent Dwyane Wade. Still, Colangelo acknowledging as much is new.
“I’m not going to sit here and tell you I’m confident Chris is coming back,” Colangelo said last week after the NBA Draft, and the selection of power forward Ed Davis.
“If he makes a decision to leave, we’ll talk to those teams that he’s interested in signing with. There will be opportunities for him.”
