R3 is Asia Region.....R1 is North America/Europe Region....units like dvd & blu ray used to have a "proprietary" region and i think some of them still have this wherein ang ma play ra sa unit kay para ra sa iyang specific region but nowadays universal naman ang mga unit they can both utilize and play any region

Now that I'm done with playing Final Fantasy XIII on the rented PS3 (it's definitely the weakest FF game I played in years), I'm gonna replay Uncharted 2.

We have received a tip from a source close to the gaming community that Sony plans on announcing something(s) at E3 that will be on the scale of "when Sony announced GTA: San Andres' timed exclusivity". However, our source was also keen to note that because they used GTA as an example, it did NOT mean this was going to be a game from Rockstar. They also did not specify whether this was a timed exclusivity agreement, a "stolen" former exclusive to another console, or just an exclusive high profile third party title (and no, it isn't Agent). The last time we heard a rumor on exclusivity, or in this case, lack thereof, they hit the nail dead on the head over a year in advance of the actual announcement (Click the here to read that rumor).

Here is the actual quote:

"For this year E3 I've got just one hint. Do you remember the E3 where Sony anounced they have GTA: San Andreas as a time-exclusive deal? Expect huge bombs at this E3. I used GTA as an EXAMPLE - it does not mean Sony will anounce anything from R* !! I just meant what they announce will be as huge as the gta deal - you get it right ?"

Update: "There will be a few
announcements, not one. I cannot tell you anything more."

While we have no idea of what the actual games are, all we can speculate is possibly Final Fantasy 14 (It was announced as a PS3 exclusive last E3, but Square did say they were considering other consoles.), or possibly Grand Theft Auto 5. Maybe even Metal Gear Solid Rising. What do you think it could be? Share your thoughts in our forums!

My guess - Square Enix could announce Final Fantasy XV as a PS3 exclusive.

hmmmm...ive noticed when i am playing GOW3 that when i got to the weapon upgrade page ang color sa screen turns dark and not as crisp as it should be while on the play...and at times its crisp and as is ang iyang color...anyone experienced this?...is this color inconsistencies related to the tv, hdmi cord or the ps3 itself? its a samsung lcd that im using connected via hdmi to my ps3...setting on my ps3 is@1080 & its on rgb... any feedback will be greatly appreciated ty

thanks. kasabot nko. hehehehe. games on PS3 either R1 or R3 run on any ps3 console, the region code doesn't matter sa games kay muread ra man ang console bsag unsa na region sa games. but for blu ray disc it is a different story. region code applies in blu ray disc.

ask lang ko unsa nindot na console R1 or R3. R3 is asian region which is 220v, R1 is North America/Europe Region pero 110v so meaning you will need regulator ani. so unsa ba jud mas maayo aning duha if imu ni iconsider kung mupalit ka ps3. thanks.

consider the region where you are...im assuming that your residing here in cebu and its better to purchase the R3 version pros & cons wise between different regions may vary from time to time but there is not much difference except for the fact that R1 is a bit pricier that R3

anyways.. mga sir, ask tana ko inyo suggestions kung unsa maayu nga UPS gamiton para sa PS3 slim + LCD TV..

kasuway man gud ko gaina udto, nibrownout man, then nkaconnect akong PS3 sa UPS sa akong PC, wala ra kaabot ug 3mins tngale pawng na ang UPS.. wala pay labot ang TV.. pro nakaON sad nuon akong PC adto.. APC ES500 man akong UPS sa pc, so plan ko mukuha ug another UPS para sa PS3 and tv..

ask pod tana ko kung asa maayu palitan nga tindahan mga UPS..
