did you heard and read a news today, about the case of JONKIE..the case is already Dismissed see what camp of cortes doing...sila lang ang nag-himo ug istorya to make Disqualified JONKIE to be a mayor it's does mean hopeless na gyud?..

Adnes was not the sharpest knife in the drawer, the light was on but nobody was there. *scratches her head* so yea deffinately someone like you who keeps posting senseless rant. Adnes got banned mora ba ug na suspended pero di na lang makabalik under the Adnes account. LOL Typical for Ouano supporters.

Clan patriarchs face off in Mandaue

THE patriarchs of the powerful Cortes and Ouano clans of Mandaue City faced each other yesterday as the Commission on Elections (Comelec) heard the petition for disqualification against mayoral candidate Thadeo Jovito “Jonkie” Ouano.

The usually outspoken former mayor Alfredo “Pedong” Ouano stayed quiet in his seat as lawyer Mario Ortiz explained their stand on why Jonkie is qualified to run for public office.

Petitioner Zoilo Cortes, the uncle of mayoral candidate Jonas Cortes, also sat quietly as he listened to the proceedings.

Zoilo and Pedong were just a seat apart while Regional Election Attorney Lionel Castillano presided over the hearing at the Comelec regional office.

During the hearing, Ortiz said Jonkie is still qualified to run for public office because he has complied with the requirements for the reacquisition of his Filipino citizenship.

Lawyer Briccio Boholst, Zoilo’s legal counsel, said Ortiz is entitled to issue his own statements but the Cortes camp prefers to let the Comelec resolve the matter.

The proceeding didn’t take long because the parties were just asked if they had additional information to submit to the poll body.
