Hmmm... I dunno the subliminal message of your post BM but I want to counter that as,

"Those who think gays and lesbians are normal peeps like everyone else are MORE SECURE WITH THEIR OWN SEXUALITY. For those who think otherwise are even BIGGER FAGS/LEZ because they are threatened for their own society to be "marred" with the third s3x."

And for those who bank on the biblical scriptures that having lez and gays in our society is a major damnation, well one word for you guys,

"HYPOCRISY"

that's the world you live in... just like the pharisees who loathe sinners when they are in fact the worst immoral peeps in the bible because they mouth sacred stuffs for peeps to practice yet they do unlawful acts to their people.

Lesbians and gays are no different than us. They also wanted to be accepted by their own preferences and not be ostracized by us. There are still some who are EVEN MORE DECENT than the straight ones

Accepting one's differences doesn't entirely mean that we're turning our backs on the bible and our faith.
Faith doesn't only entail religion but our faith in other people that they are worthy to live in this world just like us regardless of religion, societal status and even sexual preferences.

If you base on the bible, correct me if I'm wrong but Jesus himself loathes hypocrisy among those "morally upright" people.

No wonder the society is morally sick because of the "false faith" that other peeps have in their mentality that it's better to walk in righteousness and live in hypocrisy than be open-minded of the society we now have. Just like for some pious peeps who hears mass each day yet they speak, think and act evil as soon as they step out of the church. Now that is sick!

There's nothing wrong with being true to one's self. Being a homosexual doesn't make you less of a person, the last time I checked.

^^ Yes, Jesus befriended sinners and prostitutes ... we all know that. But He didn't tell them "What you are doing is okay with me, go on with what you enjoy"...

The reason why Jesus welcomed sinners in his table is not because He agrees with their sinful acts, rather He wanted them to change... Tan awa si Mary Magdalene, once a prostitute. But after Jesus' encounter, nag change na siya. The main theme of Jesus is for the repentance of sinners, including prostitutes and gays.

Do we see Repentance and Change in the side of gays? I think not. You want to go on and enjoy on what you do, which is not acceptable according to the Bible and the teachings of the Church.

Do not try to reinvent the wheel... or in this case rewrite the Bible

I'm the type who doesn't take the biblical scriptures too literally.
It's all a matter of perceiving things and people.

Besides, I still live by the golden rule...

And that includes, treat the person right and never judge them for their sexual orientation.
Who am I to judge them for their actions, anyway?

Don't second guess me BM

Being in a Catholic school for twelve years had taught me about the bible and stuffs,
however the real world had taught me that not all things are to be taken literally.
That's what I meant by my previous post.

I rather be practical and follow the golden rule than be self-righteous and all too preachy
about the bible.

I do believe that's what really matters most.
