But to flank in the Q and A portion with an answer that doesn't make any sense at all (and not to mention her English)? That's not just funny especially when foreigners are watching it too. It's embarrassing not just for Janina San Miguel but for Philippines as well. We can accept her excuse as a first timer for her miscue but doing it in Bb. Pilipinas is too much.

We can look forward to the future with Janina's improvement but we can't deny the fact that her mishaps "might" leave a mark on Philippines' already very tarnished image.
experience? tanawa ug tutuki ug maayo ang requirements sa pag apply sa Bb Pilipinas bro...tanawa gyud ug maayo kng knanglan ba ug experience.

What is the age requirement to qualify for the pageant?
Applicant should be from 17 to 25 years of age at the time of the pageant.

What are the other qualifications for the aspiring candidates?
Single, of good moral character, at least a high school graduate, must be at least 5-foot-5-inches in height, with pleasing personality, and must be a Filipino citizen.

    NAA?

AND of course, her being as a 17 yr old and first-timer is a fact...i am just disappointed that she made it as an alibi. but the fact that she already won, wa na tay mahims ana but to accept her and support her all the way nlng to the Miss World. Her winning the crown while at the same time being embarassed is just what she deserved, BUT undeserving of the crown, branded as BOGO, and pakauwaw sa world? i beg to disagree...

and now we are talking about "image"?...that a 17 yr old girl flunked the Q&A and still won? embarrasing image to the foreigners as u say? are we that twisted already to think that it could somehow tarnish our Phil image? are we that narrow-minded and short-sighted already?

yes, we should respect other's opinions here but we should respect also that some people opine that some opinions are in fact "crab's mentality"...AND IF SOME PEOPLE CANNOT ACCEPT IT. call it pride or pride chicken...

We are going beyond requirements and for heaven's sake, Bb. Pilipinas is not just any ordinary beauty pageants there is. Common sense will tell that inexperience will not give good results. Bb. Pilipinas is one of the few that we showcase internationally and answering, whining, and saying how sorry she was in the Q and A portion is not plain acceptable. Obviously, there's something wrong somewhere. Did she underestimate Bb. Pilipinas? Is she just overconfident? Or maybe she just didn't see it coming or expect it to be that way? We never know. If only she had the right and complete tools then she won't become a YouTube star and the talk of the town for her Q and A and unfortunately, experience is a part of that set of tools.[br]Posted on: March 14, 2008, 05:36:44 PM_________________________________________________

Could you please quote any post that I said that she's "BOGO"?

Image? Her winning is not the one I'm concerned. I don't even give a damn about Bb. Pilipinas because it isn't my thing. The one that concerns me is her being unable to answer the question with sense. You know for sure that Filipinas are branded as "Domestic Helpers" and "Bride Orders" at some parts of the world. Do you find it ok if Filipinas will be branded as "dumb"? Think about it. It might not be her fault but sad to say, only very few foreigners will see it that way. The thing that will stick in their heads is her being unable to answer a question.

Crab mentality? If you're pertaining to my post, care to elaborate on that one?

Goodness! Listen to yourself! You are not clean, señor! You DO NOT KNOW how to respect other people's opinion.

do you know how this thread went downhill? It was when YOU started calling people's opinion as a form of Crab Mentality. Where is the frigging respect there? If you ACCEPT that there will always be differing views, if you recognize difference as natural and wonderful, people will NOT get hyped up too much about exchanging our thoughts.

HOW and WHEN will you ever realize that YOU yourself JUDGED the posters of this forum?

When a question is asked, people don't give the same answer. If we all have the same opinion, then we only need one and we won't have forums.

If there's one MENTALITY people should start scrapping it should be the belief that their opinion is the absolute truth.

she just doesn't ran out of alibis.

Excerpts of her post pageant interview on GMA's 24 Oras:

"kasi, i didn't hear the question." she gotta be kidding us

why can't she be true to herself?

There you go! Naa kay stand, naa puy stand ang mga tawo. Why the need to brand them as crabs? Perhaps because you want to appear like you're morally better than the rest of us?

If you cannot accept that people have called San Migues as Bogo, that's the same principle behind Why people cannot accept San Miguel's answer or San Miguel winning pageant.

    Unsay lisod sabton ana?

You do not understand the forum rule. #1 means, I will warn or moderate or ban or mute a poster calling another poster as BOGO. IF that poster expressed his/her opinion and call San Miguel as BOGO, why WOULD I warn the member?

and giddy as you are, I will not BAN/WARN/MODERATE/MUTE you for calling the other posts as Crab Mentality. but for calling me something, I should.

What stopped me? Because you calling ME all sorts of names will not make me less of who I am.

I will always be The b|tcH_g0dd3sS and you will always be the giddy boy.
