Are you saying its not part of the Church's job to help the poor?

Isn't it their moral responsibility to put their teachings into actions especially if they have the financial means to do it?

Can you outline exactly what you think should be the job of the Church? Please also outline the scope and limitation of their function.

Yes you're right. That is what I believe too.

What we're seeing now is, the Church is setting aside a sizable portion of the donation for other purposes other than what they were intended for.
    Ako naman neh gi-explain sauna.
That 13 billion worth of shares was based on the current market price.
Besides, dili man sad one time big time nga gipalit na nga shares.
Probably, they got those shares since around 10 years or more, when BPI was traded at around 20. And probably, some of those shares they got where also donated.

We're giving money to the church not because we want them to invest it... rather, it is supposed to help the poor...

What the church is doing is tantamount to malversation and misuse of public funds and Betrayal of public trust.
And do you really think that once we donate, we are expecting it "all" to be given to the poor?
Investing is part of money management.
Part of your donations (if ever you had) goes to charity.
Part of it goes to Church's operation expenses.
Part of it goes to the Vatican, which in returns, distributes to those sectors who are in need.
    That is what I know.

If naa ka'y nahibaw-an nga nag-kurakot. Better report it to the office of archbishop. Dili kay permi ra ta chismis diri.

The problem man gud. Basta naa gali pari na nindot ug sakyanan, mo-judge dayon mo nga gikan na sa mga amotan. Then, generalize na dayon nga ang tibuok simbahan nga pangwarta ra jud.

How about Heaven's gate? Engineers and scientists blindly killed themselves in the belief that Haley's comet would deliver them to heaven. NOT ONE OF THOSE ARE STUPID. Guess, who survived those groups? The STUPID ones.

Do you know how the church pulls that off? The same thing other maniacal leaders like Hitler, Castro & Kim Joong Il did:

They feed the pride of the people. They pad their ego. In short, bai, sipsipay ba! Have you seen how some of your colleagues can get in good with your bosses? It's the same thing. Once you have the people eating out of your hand, they will follow you to the ends of the earth no matter how mindless or idiotic your ideals are.

If you kiss the ass of the person; if you tell them what they want to hear; if you praise them for what they are; YOU ARE THE ONE IN CONTROL. The boss may be in charge bai, but he/she will eventually and unconsciously need you to feel good about themselves. ANd I tell you bai, dili ni BS akong gisulti, I PERSONALLY experimented with this if it is true.

To be blunt bai. YES these so-called "bright" people you say are actually THAT STUPID.

Ako bai, I'm being smartER by being dumb. Dumb to their beliefs. And because of that wala nako NAILAD sa simbahan.

You must remember bai that a genius is borderline between NORMAL & Crazy. Those people you mentioned? They are in that border. Gamay tikang ana naa nana sa CRAZY section.

I pride myself in being normal even though I do not possess their genius level intellect.

Look up the parable between the 3 wise men and the realist guy parable.

Summary: 3 wise men tried to raise a dead lion from the dead. The realist guy hid in the tree. Guess who got eaten?

    Intelligence CAN make you stupid.

I see.. How stupid of me.
I just realized I'm talking to a proud realist guy who thinks that people not inline with his beliefs are NOT normal.

Kahinumdom ko aneh sa taong grasa dapit sa amo. Wala jud problema. Kataw-an nalang tali ta kay kita sige trabaho. Siya, mangayo lang pagkaon, tagaan ra.

    Sige bro, uyon-uyonan nalang tika.

Well, in my first post bai I was not promoting hate or judging the church. I was aiming na since naa naman diay sila pondo, di nalang sa ta manghatag.

Manghatag nata if nahurot nana ila pondo.

This yet another criminal offense bai. For example, i have a family member who is hospitalized. I need 1MIL for the very delicate procedure. I ask for donations. IF kaabot nana ug 1mil bai undangan nana ug pangayo. IF naai sobra bai, I will be held accountable for that by the BIR (which does not happen to the church).

What I am currently understanding right now is that the church has MORE THAN ENOUGH of what they need, they should at least, for the sake of sincerity, stop collecting if naa na diay sila pondo.

Kung unsa man gani, they can always ask LATER. dili kanang INFINITY lang ang pangayo maskin naa na diay target nadawat.

Hahah... you know what's so amusing about this comment? The fact that YOUR church actually says the same thing about the rest of us. In fact, you're saying it right now. Hypocrisy at its finest.

ing-ani mani bai. if you make remarks like that, make sure you are not guilty of the same.

kung sa korte pa ni bai, you cannot go to court with dirty hands.

I see. So you are criticizing the man for asking for food. While you are turning a blind eye to the church. How double standard of you.

barato ang multa sa libel bro. if they find me guilty, they can deduct it from my past donations.

I'm just re-quoting what you have just said.
Balika kuno ug basa imong gi-post.
Ikaw ra man nag-sulti nga kanang "bright" people are STUPID.
Then, proud ka kay normal ka, even if dili ka bright:

    Do didn't get the point.
What I'm saying that the taong grasa believes he is normal than anybody else.
Ahhmm.. What did you say you are again?
