i think ang 55-250mm IS ang pinakabarato (around 11k)... more or less sunod ni siya sa kit lens...
..as the name implies (telephoto), same sa telescope, it brings far away subject much closer to you and its also great in taking portraits as it gives nicer bokeh...

murag dili sa 18-200mm bro but sa 18-55mm IS kay their almost identical except for the focal length... i haven't used either lenses (55-200mm and 75-300mm) bro but i have seen pix from the 55-250mm and t'was really good... ako lenses kay 17-85mm and 50mm ra man... sige lang man ko borrow sa mga kaila ug lenses if kinahanglan jud... hehehe... same problem ra ta ani, budgetary constraints... hehehe

If you're talking about the Canon EF 75-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM then definitely lupit ang 55-250 ani sa maximum reach and sa USM. Fast focus gyud ang USM.

Ang 55-250 kay maoy mu complement sa imung 18-55 kit lens. IQ is the same on both lenses. Mas ma feel lang nimu ang background blur kung mag portrait ka tungod telephoto man.

If maka afford ka sa 18-200, mas maayo pa kani nalang then imu baligya imu 18-55. para dli ka mahasol sa pag ilis ilis og lens. I take it wala kay plans mag upgrade to L?

hmmmm... yah, may tama ka bro... dili pko ka afford sa 18-200mm.. hehe.. para unta sa sinulog and dinagyang.. naa man ko 50mm pero dili man pwede para sa kna na event, if 75-300mm, bugat and zoom na kaayo ang 75.. cgro il go w/ 55-250mm pero baligya lang nako ang 75-300mm.
