naa gihapon splat sir, maski sa amoa nga naka pl tone nami, labi ning signal usahay gikan sa mindanao... kadahapon jud... hasta ang signal sa ken taxi musakay sa amoa (im not surprise since we are using the ken taxi's tower sa amoa repeater)... pero atleast dili na kaayo grabe...

last time attend ko seminar sa hytera... nindto i shift into dmr kaso mahal.... perfect kay siya para search and rescue kay builtin na gps... mahal lang... ang pinaka cheapest nga dmr is katong sa tyt 10k+ pero compatible siya sa d-star ug mototrbo, kanang sa cignus DPMR man siya doesn't work well with DMR...

it so ironic that there are a lot of people planing to build an apps or web application that helps during calamity, they forgot one thing during calamity... the technology they are using are dependent on static structure that are often affected on any calamity... so ironic... even during yolanda the first communication from tacloban and bantayan is not from a cellphone nor sat phone but from a ham radio requesting body bag and thats hours after the weather clears out...

ive burst a lot of bubbles already when i told them no matter how good your apps is as long it relies on a cellular network thats useless...

imoha ni nga ICE X2 sir?

astig kaayo, mulabay na ug 14 watts...pero advertised as 10watts lang

pero, init kaayo ang ntc ani. during calamities, this is the radio that can that can be trusted to deliver. IP67 ni sya. meaning waterproof, shockproof, shockproof.... pero dili ni ntc proof lang.

for us preppers, we have to... to prepare.

the little handheld can never be underestimated.

i urge everyone to get at least one. the prices have gone down. especially on those baofeng/pofung units.

they are very simple radios. channel ug volume ra. duha ra ka knobs. it can be operated in the dark, no displays to read.

all we need as a community is set a frequency for emergency use.

uhf is short range but will penetrate rubble in case of earthquake disasters.

init ang ntc sa ICE X2 tungod sa power ug frequency.

kung ani klase nga form-factor pwede siya himoon as a backpack radio then gamitag ug high gain nga mobile antenna... though concern lang is how long would the battery last if naka high... im going to dig around that 25watter looks interesting... though ang current plan nako is to get a DMR

i found a 3,500 nga ice x2... if maka kita kug 3k or ubos pa.... i might get one nalang for collection
