The argument for God's existence had always been established by belief of the faithful;
The argument for God's non-existence had always been established by the absence of direct evidence.



let me share my own version...

The argument for God's existence had always been established by belief of the faithful based on circumstancial evidence.

The argument for God's non-existence had always been tainted with the proposition- there is no God and the way agnostics,atheists,naturalists handles the evidence.

And let me correct something, if it is proper:

1.) It is NOT the contention of the agnostics that "God does not exist", rather, they would just simply say that "God is something I do not know about".
I hope we could not ignite some worthless argument on this crystal-clear concept.
2.) Circumstantial evidence is referring to circmstances which could be traced back to the cause; it is different from "Inferential evidence" of which the offered evidence is merely based on the conclusion of the arguer. Examples of circumstantial proofs are shoe-prints, presence of the person during the incidents, threats previously made prior to the incidents, etc. Circumstantial evidence and Inferential evidence should never be intellectually interchanged, otherwise, the whole scheme will be breached.
Again, I hope we could not ignite some worthless arguments on this crystal-clear concept.
