I THINK IT WILL MAKE A GOOD EFFECT FOR US FILIPINO PEOPLE IF WE ARE TO BECOME A US TERRITORY...coz we will have government budget from the US and we can now erase the political trapos that we have now such as her excellency herself...

its time to put aside our pride.. the situation is getting worse in the philippines. government officials keep on saying that the economy is improving but in fact, their lives are the ones improving. the richer gets richer and the poor gets poorer. the service is gone.

personally, i think this is a very good idea

    > patriotism and nationalism aside, unsa may gi buhat sa current pinoys with this freedom? nothing much... mao na karon unstable and crumbling ghapon kau ang phils.. daghan kau gubot ang politics... every few months mka dungog ka og rumor na mag coup nsad... debt is still an all time high so are poveryt, unemployment, etc. pinoys dont know how to run the philippines whether they be a z-grade movie star or a harvard or whever graduate (like arroyo who was supposedly a schoolmate of george bush in some ivy league uni)... the only way filipinos know how to run the philippines is to the ground

even tv stars know that ...ask dingdong dantes and jessa zaragosa who are now no longer filipino citizens...

oh cmon, Philippines will always be an American Interest our position is vital it is strategic in geo-politics, especially this time when China is growing. But i dont understand why people are willing to sacrifice their sovereignity to USA, yeh sure being a part of it may increase our quality of living, but such thing is too superficial compared to the noble virtue of freedom and independence.
