Very entertaining film! OKJA, now streaming on Netflix.
Movies of Akira Kurosawa
Okja
was it an allegory of the Holocaust? and Mija is Oskar Schlinder? , naluoy ko sa couple nga super pigs...
Murag Holocaust ang slaughterhouse scene sa Okja sir no? Ang kanindot niya kay action-adventure siya so accesible cya to many viewers pero satire cya and metaphor for consumerism and capitalism. Likened to modern-day iPhone culture, for example, people will do anything for a new iPhone. In this case, it's only dead pigs that sell. Plus they put PETA and many other socio-cultural references in the mix, and with another excellent perf from the incomparable Tilda Swinton. Lingaw gyud ni salidaa.
Another film recommendation:
Anyone looking for a really good murder mystery/thriller should check out The Invisible Guest (Contratiempo, 2016). Bar some questionable details, this film will blow you away. Probably the best work by Oriol Paulo, so far. He has written/directed some of the best Spanish thrillers in recent years, such as The Body (2012) and Julia's Eyes (2010).
kani maoy latest nako na gitan-aw. had trouble with the subtitles but happy i was able to do something about it.
