i agree.. if ever they'd decide to put rotc back and this time should it be compulsory, they have to make sure the program wouldn't be a haven for corruption.. how would you instill discipline if the leaders doesn't even practice discipline within themselves?

kapoy naman iningglis.. hehehe.. ad2 sko..

I can't blame those people who had a very bad experience in terms of their ROTC training .

But in my case I had a good experience  I will never regret the chance of being part of the ROTC CORPS of Cadet in USJ-R at present because this experience helped me attain a great love for my country which I think most of the Filipino teen agers don't have, this statement maybe a lot from what we expected but being a patriot of our country is the main agenda of Military training .

If you think the only thing you can learn from ROTC is marching and forming a straight line under the sun, you are definitely wrong because map reading, dismantling of rifle's, rifle handling, first aid, military tactics, SUT( madami pa, Di lng yan!) and the great value of respect..
Dito, kung makikita kala mo puro saludo lng pero, through this slowly you will learn to respect others (hindi dahil mas matanda or superior siya syo but because you know that he has to be respected as a person) even youre outside the formation.

And for those people who find the NCO's(admin or tactical) stupid just because they are not articulate in using English languange another minus for youre point of view because for me you can't easily judge the person just because of that, for some reason they never stepped in the college level but their experience as a soldier is higher than having a doctorate degree because they are dealing with their own life. And being in the military, you should not have a fit body alone it always comes with a strong power of mind which is initiative as they say.

That's why I think if we will continue this set-up (which is having a relaxed & tatamad-tamad na college students)the situation of our country will be worst..

Is this what we want producing degree holder Filipino's that doesn't know anything about a little hardship?? challenge?? authority?? respect?? patriotism?? Eto ang hirap sating mga Pilipino eh, we pratice DEMOCRACY too much.. Un bang level na we are not familiar with what is our individual responsibility, sanay na tayong manisi ng iba pag-nagkakaroon ng mali sa buhay natin.. And eto nag rereflect sa Philippine Economy na patuloy na nalulunod..

Eto, University of San Jose-Recoletos started the change.. I hope others will go with the flow.. We need change, I think this is it. Maybe, medyo pangit (or bati jud) ang pangalan ng ROTC na natatak sa ating mga Pilipino (especially for those who experienced it in a very abusive way) pero there is always a room for change and as an ROTC officer I have a little responsibility with that.. It could only embark slight improvement but big developments starts with small ones diba..?
