which is for a better monitor?
hafler m5 pref or dynaudio bm5a/bm6a...
I wont explain what impulses mean im sure you can google it, and this means no way of replacing mic-ing an amp..its for those that dont have an amp lol, i played with this before and there's other variants like izotope trash..the thing is similar to amp vst..but you can get impulse files in the net for free and also the VST is free..
so for this one im using the voxengo Boogex(free, free=ftw)..and using my KLD pilot's built in DI-out(yey it works!), + mark v's shredhead(plug) + my blue GKG (with Dimarzio tonezone on the bridge pup and Belcat Single coils, im using the neck single coil on this, im not sure if i toggled between the neck and the bridge pup for the lead track)
Audio interface is M-audio fast track, mic cable + KLD DI out..
i record my so-called back track in channel one + solo track on channel two
here's the sample without using the impulse

then selecting the solo track, i bridge it through Sony Sounforge and look for my 'Voxengo Boogex'
but its better its loaded on the DAW's pre or post vst box's..only do this if you're sure what you're doing..you can always undo anyway
you can also load downloaded impulse files..which is neat and its free..
here's the same track with an impulse file attached to the track (i forgot what i selected),

if you get the hang of it, you can get creative and add delays and what not..(i added a bit of delay on the post bus's)
