I won't be so sure about that, US is just waiting for that opportunity. Defeating China would give them more power and influence.

U.S. couldn't even defeat the North Koreans and the Vietnamese they have no chance at all at beating China. Military might alone won't win the war, you must also consider politics. The American public won't tolerate another war apart from its own self-defense especially when the casualties start piling up.

US defeated Nokor, but because china that time feared that the invasion of nokor would be a stepping stone sa US to invade china... that time China was still fresh from their revolution, they pushed back the allied to 38th parallel where the Allied hold their ground amidst the coming chinese human wave...

regarding vietnam, the defeat is more like political, they are defeated because nam was unfamous war on their homefront, militarily US is winning the attrition... beside... you cant fight an unconventional war with atrition...

the korean and vietnam war are two of my most favorite topic of history...

Technically Vietnam won the war, when North Vietnam captured Saigon the capital of South Vietnam. BUT STILL

You can never be so sure about that, Obama's administration has been very much aggressive since last year.

Another U.S. War? Obama Threatens China and Iran

Well, I just don't think China is stupid enough to do so much risk, when they are slowly winning the Financial War over the US.

China is not picking a fight. yes naay aggression cguro sa spratlys..it is because we can't even prove our claim. same issue rani sa malaysia-sabah issue. Our Gov't does not have the balls to protect our sovereignty. halos tanan butang diri mapalit, so mahibong pata nga aggressive ang uban countries, while kita dili? we are not a proud country while most of our neighbors are. So DILI jud ta ma ready sa bisan unsa. Seriously, are we really going to fight for our country? i doubt it..a country who abolished ROTC in college (or gihimo lang NON-compulsory).Drug addiction & corruption is undeniably common inside PNP & the Gov't agencies (we are not counting AFP yet). plus pa knowing daghan kaayo sa ato nga gusto mohawa sa pinas. we will lose. if we really want to fight, we need at least 50 years to change our system (& our Gov't). otherwise, we are in deep $**+.
