Point 1 is that the Bible says God is omnipotent and sovereign. Point 2, we all have freewill, and can deliberately choose to override God's commands and be off with our own. To how many times and to what extent does God, through His sovereignty, intervene in human affairs.. in the face of the reality of action-consequence/freewill.... that, I could only speculate (and study more). **smile**
The reality is we go through life doing and THEN, experiencing the fruit of those actions.
You steal a car, you get caught, you go to jail.
You sleep w/ an STD-infected hooker, you get STD.
You don't work, then you don't eat. Simple as that. (2 Thess. 3:10)
Although God promises us grace and forgiveness for our shortcomings, He simply doesn't press the delete key to our booboos, rather, He lets us learn from them.
All profoundly summed up at Gal. 6: 7-9.
Hope this helps.
exactly.
imagina if GOD will intervene as we want it. ako gusto nga nag time madali na kay kaulion nako nya ang ako silingan ganahan ang time madugay kay malate na cya. would that mean GOD will create two dimensional sphere to accomodate me and my neighbour? duha palang mi ana ha.how much more the billions of people in the world. chaotic na nuon.
ako gusto Lord mayo unta bugnaw mag snow diri sa amo sa philippines nya kay all powerful man nya tuo si LORD nako ni snow, but ang ako silingan nahan man sa sun kay magswimming cla. unsaun naman lang ni?
That's is why GOD allowed things to go in its proper course otherwise mabuang ato kalibutan kung kada sa gusto nato tumanun sa Ginu-o. wala nata LORD and master but an enslave genie na.
Maayo gyud si LORD kay HIS thoughts are higher than our thoughts and HIS ways are higher than our ways.
and He is the GOD of order and peace not of Chaos.
