So you think ABS-CBN has also this "connection" to international press that they can tell them what to believe. Powerful jud diay ning ABS!

He was damn sure it was ABS-CBN. Why can't Willie file a case against ABS-CBN on so-called "sabotage" and we'll see who's making a big fuss out of this small issue. Lack of publicity stunt Tv5 eh?

So you mean ABS-CBN should not be reporting about it because it's bringing uproar on the international scene? Mind me, it has already reached UK and US long before TFC aired those. What date was that? What I have is here, dated : April 1, 2011, 2:23am

Hubbub over 'Jan-Jan' reaches int'l press
    By ROWENA JOY A. SANCHEZ
    April 1, 2011, 2:23am

MANILA, Philippines – The much talked-about “macho dance” of six-year-old Jan-Jan Estrada on TV5 game show “Willing Willie” has reached foreign media.

Publications such as the Middle East’s 7Days, the USA’s Monsters & Critics, the United Kingdom’s Daily Mail, Metro, and the London Evening Standard, as well as AsiaOne, posted online articles about the issue on March 29. Bloomberg Businessweek, CBS News, The Press Association, and The Canadian Press picked up the report from the Associated Press the same day.

Most of the write-ups talked about "Willing Willie" host Willie Revillame and the TV station's apology following the flak they got from the public and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) over what many think was "humiliating" and "abusive" treatment that Estrada received on the show.

Many did not take lightly that the host and the studio audience seemingly took pleasure in watching the boy gyrate---in tears at some points--- like an adult sexy dancer. A clip of the boy’s performance uploaded on YouTube has gone viral.

In their statement, TV5 emphasized that “that there was never any intention to humiliate or abuse Jan-Jan or any contestant on the show...”

Meanwhile, the Gulf Times and Monsters & Critics reported on the Commission on Human Right’s (CHR) move to investigate the incident so as to, as the commission was quoted as stating, "identify the person/s liable and to recommend proper actions against them." A number of these publications even posted screen grabs or embedded video of the boy’s performance on “Willing Willie.”

You are giving ABS-CBN too much credit. Nalayo na sa issue.

To this, I will agree with you. This is what I'm waiting also. And I also want John Silva (the so-called "moralist" ) to speak up and say if he has any business/personal "connections" with ABS. John Silva was the blogger who wrote emails to the advertisers CC a lot of people and Mr. MVP. If he has WR can sue ABS-CBN and he can condemn ABS as long as he lives. I'm also very much interested to know if ABS paid Silva for lambasting Wowowee before. If he hasn't and it was only mere personal publication, then should we stop dragging ABS and focus on the real issue?

No bro, you didn't get the point. These people only saw the spliced video. 'Youtube video' ang gi-ingon sa hosts which is sad to think nga they are about anti-child abuse rally, pero tu-o na sila sa dayon youtube spliced video ra. They don't have all the facts in their hands, bro, only the youtube video.

Usa na nga ka abuse. The child and his parents and the show were already judged/condemned before all the facts were known. Really sad and disappointing. Og ang bata ang nabungtan sa tanan.

I think John Silva has a picture of the child in his blog and letters to the advertisers. Same with the Gaite person, he has I think flyers with the child's picture and saying's like pedophile on those. Naa physical evidence ba to support the case dayon. Same with Dr. Carangdang's MTRCB letter.

That was what i quoted. The issue here is that people are pointing out ONLY at ABS-CBN. Saying "they are showing this or doing that, they are making this issue big..etc.." but are blind about the outside resources which are bigger entities on this issue. The focus is only at "ABS-CBN". If ABS-CBN will feature this, "they're making it big" not thinking that other networks (here and abroad) have already aired the information weeks ago. Where's impartiality?

Now we're talking about the spliced video, for almost a month that it's been released why until now TV5 aren't sending the local networks the non-spliced copy of the jan-jan's episode.

RE: That "spliced" video that TV5 is claiming, why aren't they releasing the complete video to clean it up? I believe Mr. MVP has a lot of international associates, is it not possible for him to send those networks abroad (mentioned above) , the complete copy of the said episode to clean Tv5's name?

Some people are being dragged into this and it's worsening the situation, it's even covering up the real problem. Why can't we focus into the issue for now, have this be resolved and in due time let Tv5 sue ABS-CBN if they have this "concrete proof" against the latter?

Jan jan's family already filed a case, reports were saying. Let them be responsible if they've done any violations. Willie said he will sue everyone and clear his name then let the law decide. If he will file a case against ABS-CBN then go! show us proofs and let the truth prevail. But in return, he should also be ready for the charges that will be filed against him - that is, if ABS' still interested on anything concerning him.

Hoping that NTC will approve the digitalization by June or as ABS celebrates their anniversary, no stopping anymore. It has been blocked before by the rival network but not this time again with TV5.
