I thought they have wide range of genre and can be classify based on album or songs.

Metallica = Thrash metal, Heavy metal, hard rock, speed metal
MEGADETH = Heavy metal, thrash metal, hard rock, speed metal
Dream Theater = Progressive metal, progressive rock, heavy metal

Maybe it's true that they really have wide range of music genre and can't be address of only one type of genre.
