I think this thread's title should be changed to

BEST GUITARIST IN ROCK.

Obviously, because every single guy mentioned on the list is a rock musician, completely ignoring Classical, Jazz, and Flamenco.

For my money, I think the genre with the best technical guitarists is flamenco.

I agree that the best guitarists are the flamenco/classical guitarists. They are way ahead technically even paul gilbert, jimi hendrix, clapton, satriani, slash combined.

Similarly, classical composer such as Mozart is way ahead technically compared to rock composer such as John Lennon.

we're saturated in a rock/pop society, hence the reason why rocker guitarists and the like immediately come up at the top of our heads.

anyways, the thread's title is broad, so we can post any styled guitarist we want. i-label na lang nato.

For Bass - Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Larry Graham.... Maybe Flea(Red Hot Chili Peppers) but if e compare nmo cya sa uban, d man kaayo ka mka "wow". Genius lang cya ug bass lines.

I agree. Unfortunately, the current people who frequent here are new local guitarists from new local bands who are still in the process of appreciating other genres.
