there's no one easy way to let go of someone you love... if cirsumstances dictate though that you really have to, then do so... it'll definitely wound you and the scar would be deep, but if it means the happiness of the other- be brave enough to face it. then i recommend crying. yes, cry your heart out, wail, even bawl... AND pray. you'll get through...
