a CJ's vote is no better than any other justice's. Corona's vote on the matter equates to just one. If the the SC as a collegial body deems something unconstitutional, in this case PNoy's supposed "projects", then it is not solely Corona's own doing. There are 14 Justices, there has to be either a unanimous or majority decision to decide on the matter.

I don't know if you have enough trust in PNoy to allow him to do that, but as for me, no way. For someone who follows history, I can assure you--absolute power will always get the best of us.

Progress is primarily within the scope of the Legislative and Executive branches of Government. Maybe something's wrong in those two branches that is why we're not seeing much "progress"...

no its not like that, the 3 branches of government have diff obligations to make. But if the supreme court will always oppose to the will and good projects of the legislative and executive then nothing will be changed in our system. Thats why when their is a new administration, there must also a change in the employees and cabinet of the government to have a unity and not impugned each other.
