mayta mangusog jud c dirk ugma.hehehehe
ugma na jud, Go Mavs, maynta ma-straight ug kadaug ang mavs hantod game 5 oy,
If the Mavs play like they did against the Lakers then we have nothing to worry about.. cuz if we won 2 straight over there at their house then we can do the same at OKC.. Hopefully Dallas gives a great effort & prevails, showing why they were the best road team this year...
Let's Go Mavs!!
No stranger to defending Durant, Brewer is ready
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Now that Dallas Mavericks backup center Brendan Haywood has stated the obvious -- "There's no way in the world we should have had Peja [Stojakovic] on [Kevin] Durant" -- how should the Mavs deal with Durantula?
Shawn Marion will continue to get the start on Durant, who is averaging 32.4 points on 51.2-percent shooting. DeShawn Stevenson, who has his hands full starting on point guard Russell Westbrook, is typically next in line. Peja Stojakovic, who Haywood called out for being a swinging gate that allowed Durant to posterize Haywood in Game 2, or a zone, ineffective in Game 2, were the most popular alternative options?
But what about lanky, 6-foot-9 Corey Brewer, who logged just 4:46 in Game 1 and didn't get off the bench in Game 2?
"He did OK," Carlisle said of Brewer. "The matchups are a challenge and so we’ve got to look at that. Our rotation is something I’m looking closely at. We’ve got to adjust some things to maximize our best chances. But look, everybody’s ready. I wouldn’t hesitate to use anybody, and Brewer is one of many guys that’s got to be ready to play."
Brewer says he's waiting and willing. In fact, he's no stranger to defending the long-limbed Durant. Before joining the Mavs in mid-season, Brewer spent the first three-plus years with the Minnesota Timberwolves and playing in the same division as the Thunder.
Brewer might be the Maverick best suited to defend Durant, but it's not like he has a history of shutting down Oklahoma City's superstar. Durant has averaged 26.2 points on .460 shooting in 13 career meetings against Brewer and scored 47 in a Thunder overtime win the last time they played.
"I’m very comfortable [guarding Durant]," Brewer said. "He’s one of the best players in the league, in the world at that, but I feel like I like the matchup. You’ve got to stay on him. You’ve got try to go wherever he goes at all times. I just try to stay on him, always be close to him, always touch him and not give him anything easy. If I try to make him work for everything and he gets a lot of points you can’t do anything but pat him on the back and go on."
Stevenson doubled his minutes from Game 1 to Game 2 to take on Durant. The dilemma Carlisle has is Stojakovic -- although just 4-of-14 from the floor in the two games and 3-of-11 from 3-point range -- spreads the floor and is always a threat to get hot from downtown. Brewer, whose athleticism and energy would seem a good fit against the up-tempo Thunder, is far more limited offensively and could allow the defense to back off him and send more help on Dirk Nowitzki.
Still, it is obvious that if Stojakovic get stuck on Durant, it puts Dallas in bad situation.
"In certain situations, it's going to happen, cross matches and transition and things like that," Carlisle said. "But look, Peja did a good job guarding [Lamar] Odom in the last series. There may be some situations where he'll guard [Durant]. In a 48-minute game, a lot of things happen over a long period of time and you're going to get some challenging matchup situations regardless."

2nd qrtr 40-21 Mavs... but i want Dirk to score more.. he has still 4 points midway in the 2nd.
'common Dirk....! Don't let the storm come..
Let's finish 'em early..
Mavs lead back to 20 early in the 3rd qrtr.. and Dirk only has 4 point.. ^_^
