Just finished Blackhawk Down by Mark Bowden, upon which the movie was based. The book is much, much different from the movie, which actually told only parts of the whole story.

“Pwede Na!" The Complete Pinoy Guide to Personal Finance[/size]

“Pwede Na! The Complete Pinoy Guide to Personal Finance” (Platypus Publishing, 2004) seeks to demystify the art of personal finance for Filipinos. From pre-need plans to credit cards, from bonds to the stock market, the book is a clear source of information for young urban professionals, overseas Filipino workers, or anyone who wants to get a handle on their financial future in a Philippine setting.

What people are saying about Pwede Na! The Complete Pinoy Guide to Personal Finance:

"A book on personal finance is so timely during the present economic difficulties. Pwede Na's practical, step-by-step, and easily understandable approach renders it so useful for our kababayans. I am happy that a book publisher has supported a personal finance book by Filipinos for Filipinos." --Senator Manuel "Mr. Palengke" Roxas II

"One of the better guides to achieving financial security."--Mitzi de Dios, Director for Sales, CLSA Securities.

"It's about time that a book on personal financial planning in the Philippine setting is written, and in a style that makes it appealing to a wide readership spectrum. It makes personal financial planning delectable to those who otherwise find the subject of finance unappetizing. A must-read for all employees, professionals and businessmen. I will require it as a basic reading in all my finance courses."--Raul Ruiz, Consultant-Head of Research, DBP-Daiwa Securities SMBC Phils. Inc., MBA Professor of Economics and Finance
