just some corrections and to clarify a little better. you can't just "raise" BMR. BMR is based on age/height/weight. i think you mean TDEE. which varies depending who's formula you use.
also you can eat whatever you want if you're just trying to lose weight. the science behind weight loss
[ CALORIES IN vs CALORIES OUT ]
you can literally eat 20-100 fudgee bars a day. and still lose weight. as long as you're in caloric deficit.
building muscle won't happen if you aren't exercising / lifting weights for muscle growth. so you can eat all the protein rich foods you want/can but the whole point of eating protein is to make the body go through protein synthesis. this can lead to getting "fat"
calories and nutrients that aren't used properly become stored energy in the stomach. which turn into fat cells. fat cells cannot be destroyed. they only can get smaller in size.
there's no point in eating rich protein foods unless you're destroying your muscles so that the protein that you take in can be used to repair them. which make them bigger.
------
please don't take my corrections and details as "bashing" your post .someone might just be ill-informed if they read your post and might think :
"hey if i eat rich in protein foods. i'll gain muscle and lose fat "
but it takes a lot more than that. same thing with "food" myths. this happens a lot on the internet. people read articles without knowing the complete details and the science behind what they just read.
Hey! No worries. No offense taken.
I honestly forgot to mention the exercise/work out specifically. Nakashortcut na man gud sa ako mind na building muscles = working out.
Although, if you think about increasing your metabolism you think exercise. Yes, a gym session can represent 15-30% of your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and 10% required in the digestion and assimilation of nutrients. Pero and protein baya produces the highest impact on this process. This means you burn more calories digesting protein than carbs and fats. Pero ang imong BMR represents 60-75% of the TDEE so daku jud ang impact niya.
You can actually raise your BMR (the rate at which your body burns calories when you are sitting or lying down, motionless) by altering your diet and by being more active. Yes it is based on age/height/weight. The weight part is a variable and something you can take control of.
Hehehe. You are correct na ang fat cells kay dili na siya mawa sa imong lawas. No return policy. Ug modako na sila by about 1,000 times their size and if they are at their limit, they tend to multiply.
ang Abs Diet book ang ako nabasahan about these things by David Zincenko, former editor-in-chief sa Mens Health Magazine.
so unsa may angay buhaton para mo gamay ang tiyan nya mo show ang abs.. kay sa tanan parte sakong lawas ang tiyan moy murag dli ma tandog ug ka gamay..
mao baya na ang pinakalisod tangtangon. the only thing you can do is work-out all your muscle groups (dili moeffect ang spot workout) so that they can burn more fats plus healthy/correct diet.
Mao ni , more or less, ang kinahanglan na fat percentage for men para mogawas ang abs:
Competition Shape ("ripped"): 3-6%
Very lean (excellent): < 9%
Lean (good): 10-14%
hmmm. naa man gud two kinds of fats sa ato body. ang subcutaneous fats (fats under our skin. can easily be taken care of by exercise or liposuction) and ang visceral fats (fats in our belly. covers our internal organs).
If niwang na ka but dako gihapon ang imong tiyan, I guess that's visceral fats or a bad case of worms. hehehe.
Bitaw, high risk kaayo if taas kag visceral fats sa body.
Anyway, to get an estimate of your body fat percentage, try these:
