rumors from pro sports daily:
Marion surfaced from his summer-long media blackout Tuesday, telling SportingNews.com that he wants out of Phoenix. He said he would welcome a rumored trade to the Los Angeles Lakers that would send forwards Lamar Odom and Brian Cook to Phoenix so that he could join forces with Kobe Bryant and leave the team that eliminated the Lakers from the playoffs the last two seasons.
Marion is fed up with another summer of the Suns considering to trade him. Marion is irked that the team is not willing to talk about a contract extension. After eight years in Phoenix, Marion wants to leave the Suns and has let the team know in recent weeks... There are two known trade suitors in the Utah Jazz (for Andrei Kirilenko, if not others) and the Los Angeles Lakers (for Lamar Odom and a teammate), with Marion showing an interest in the latter because of a friendship with Kobe Bryant.
Kirilenko for marion would be a good trade
Brown, Cook and maybe the bus driver. yes! do it kupcake!
after AK47 ... si The Matrix na pud! hehehehe! nahan ko adto siya sa Nets! puling Richard Jefferson! hehehe!
pwede pod cavs cya ilis cla ni varejao
big problem for the suns...
Marion for Varejao and Pavlovic, kagat dayon Cavs! hehehehe
Phoenix has to do it fast and the best time to win a championship is this season. Marion leaving the team could be the start of the Suns decline. Steve Nash and Grant Hill is not getting any younger. In a season or two, Phoenix will be left with Amare Stoudemire, Leandro Barbosa and Raja Bell (hoping any of these guys won't leave Phoenix) and a number of not-so-good NBA players. The performances of rookies Alando Tucker and DJ Strawberry is still very uncertain and has yet to be proven.
Odom + Cook for Shawn Marion? Lamar Odom can still produce Marion's 20 points, 10 rebounds nights but he can't match 'The Matrix's' defensive intensity. Marion is one of the very few Phoenix players who can play decent defense. Though, Odom and Cook can give Phoenix more outside shooting.
If this trade pushes through, the Bryant-Marion tandem will be still in question if they'll click. Marion is a lot better off moving without the ball and in a running and open game and needs someone like Steve Nash to feed him the ball. He can post up those big numbers but translating it to victory is still in question. Marion is very consistent with his stats but playing along with Stephon Marbury once didn't bring him too far. As for the Suns, of course, as long as Steve Nash is on the team, there's no problem. Odom is a highly offensive player as well as Cook and they can still light up the scoreboards with 110 or 120 point nights.
Lakers:
Bynum
Radmanovic
Marion
Bryant
Fisher
Suns
Stoudemire
Diaw
Odom
Bell
Nash
The Suns are still stuck in their very limited roster. Only Leandro Barbosa, Grant Hill and Jumaine Jones are the more reliable players from the bench, not counting the unproven rookies Alando Tucker and DJ Strawberry. And Phoenix still lacks a legitimate big man who can give Stoudemire, Diaw and Odom some good amount of rest. As for the Lakers, Marion will be another option and will unload much burden of Bryant's back. If Andrew Bynum can live up to the expectations thrown to him, then the Lakers will be one heck of a team.
unsa man pod ning GM sa cavs uy hina man kaayo hehe
