@JO, do u know that fil-am guy who played for the metrostars in the MBA before? I believe he never got into the PBA. he plays small forward, along side Adducul ang compton. Was he legit?
Are you referring to Augustus Cezar Brown? Many MBA players actually played as imports and did not need to have Pinoy blood to play in the MBA, just work permits...so you had Chris Clay, Jeff Flowers, Chris Lafontaine, Matt Mitchell, Cid White and they did not have Pinoy blood. I think AC Brown is American

@macro_shot
Not sure what the exact date and who the organizers are. Not even sure where it will be at. I believe it's in Hayward. As far as the exhibition games, I don't have a clue about it. That would be fun to play in. If you hear anything about it, let me know.

Tim Cone did what Phil Jackson has done in the past with the Bulls and Lakers. He likes big guards. Rodney never played at the PG position. In practice they didn't know what to do when me and Kenny were pressing. Remember, here in the states, we grew up pressing full court. We did it the entire game. In the pros it was different. Any time I was in the game, I made sure I picked up my man full court. Especially if he was the point guard. The PG position is very important to the team. You're the extension of the coach and when your teammates see you're busting your butt pressuring the opposing teams point guard, their intensity and defense steps it up. If I can slow their point guard down, it took a good 5 seconds off their shot clock.
Willie Miller always had a hard time against me. I can remember a playoff game against Red Bull when I was on Alaska. I blocked his shot 3 times. He was a very good athlete though. My toughest match cause he was left handed and very fast!! Also a nice guy. He smiled a lot!
^^ yah I can fondly remember u playing full court guarding ur man (opponents PG). it's quite different in the PBA or in the pros in general, full court press would only happen if there's a need to cut the deficit in a short span, most of the times it would be slow tempo/half-court set..that's where Olsen Racela shone brightest...
I guess I answered everyone's questions. For those of you who had conversations with me, asked me questions, and didn't doubt who I was, thank you! If you have more questions, feel free to ask me. I'll be checking this blog every once in awhile. I usually check it every day to see if there's something new. Talk to you all later..
