naa gihapon dri ang big responsibility sa US and even heavier infact. d na nimo mawala sa imo pangalan pagka RN, kana ug d pod ka patanga2x ...surely prisuhan ug mabawi-an ka license dri ug d pod ka magbantay. swerte ka ky nakabana ka ug fil-am and easy entry indeed...question is, sa status sa economy karon sa US easy ba pod kaha ngita work! daghan ga gukod sa mga positions nato karon ky daghan sad sila nationals lay-off. plus the nursing facilities in different states are changing their culture when it comes to credentials now. sauna OK ra sila ug Associate (ARN program) karon they want as much as possible na BSNs na ila hire-ron. Mao daghan nationals nila nibalik ug schooling for BSNs or else mawagtangan ug work nig audit sa 201 files nila.

so make the most of it nalang nig start nimo ;p

Maypa nag culinary nlang ko pag sugod pajud.. hahai mao raman diay padulngan gihapon nako.. hahaha oh by the way, I am the original thread starter. If you check on the first page somewhere (not the first post), I mentioned that I will never go work at a call center.

I ate those words because a few months after posting that, I had to apply at Convergys because of the lack of nursing opportunity back then. I worked at Convergys for almost 3 years, and it was one a really great experience. None of that "super stress" that we all thought was interlinked with working at a call center.

Plus, I was a hard worker, that's why I was able to choose morning schedules. Which was probably why I survived that long, and actually loved my stay in the company.

I had to leave because I wanted to write and learn how to cook and make a living doing what I've wanted to do since I was in high school. Sounds romantic, but it really isn't.

It's awesome how life just takes you back to the crossroads again and again so that you can make the choices that you've wanted to do all along, but didn't.

The best thing about having been forced by job hunger to work at a call center was that I met the love of my life.

So for every nursing graduate who already has a job as a nurse that pays well, or can give you enough cred to land you a job overseas, congratulations to you guys! You're actually on your way.

For those without nursing related jobs yet, don't worry. There are other fish in the sea. Hahaha Or instead of catching fish, why not do what you've always wanted to do?

It's been more than three years after I started this post, and it took me almost that long to realize it. Enjoy your life, with whatever little we have.

Mao na, sayang ang giskwelahan nga kurso wala magamit. At least happy and contented man pud sila sa work bisan dili related, mao na ang importante. Everything changes. Daghan pud nakuntento as stewardess, call center. Dili daw sila ganahan as nurse hahaha.
