even though amd phenom ako processor krn, i have to agree intel makes better/faster processors than amd. It's not just about the cores and the ghz, its also about the architecture. (ex. a 3.5ghz i7 can easily beat a, lets say, 4ghz amd fx processor)

What he said is true. AMD can get good performance for cheap. A "pc hobbyist" can also be on a budget. I don't know why you think getting premium is the only thing that qualifies as a "hobbyist".

Faster procs Intel vs AMD - Intel (for a hefty price tho)
