oven baking a dead GPU to revive it

^ ok ra ning 150 Deg C sa mga components bro... dili ni maka tunaw ug components. akoa nang gi mention sa taas ang temp na gamit sa SMT (surface mount technology) and high temp burn-in...

allow me to share the images for tonight...


pag abot sa balay, balik napud ug ukab sa GPU pra re-apply ug thermal paste...




with its other HD 7770 GHz Edition brother (Dell OEM GPU ang naka install sa rig sa ani na image)... this is not his twin kay 2 GB man ning current naka install sa rig. ang "working" twin sa aning guba na GPU kay naa sa rig ni kumander... 1 GB ni ang twins...



installed the "baked GPU" inside the rig for the testing...




then fire away... "look 'ma, the GPU is still dead. there's still no display"... nyahahahaha... last will be loading this GPU into the IR reflow oven next week...



akoang pangagpas, lain ang naka patay ani nya. dili solder issue... w/in warranty pa man ni. wla lang ko mag claim kay akoa man na tampered naman ang sticker sa screw nya... anyhow, the future for me to have a new paper weight is in the horizon... ahahahaha...

R.I.P to your GPU bro hehehe. .another cremation test napd to give it a luck, basin kuwang rato sa painit ang GPU. .it needs higher temps pa, higher than 150c. .hehehe..

^ yeah, kun solder issue, higher than 150 Deg C ang needed... 220 to 260 Deg C...

Naa diay sticker sa screw ang mga vc diha? Abi nako wala mao nagplano ko papalit ug 970 diha kay ang palit ug inno3d diri naa man. Mavoid na nuon ang warranty.

Question, Should i Oven this one mga boss? Or mas advisable na kung e-ra Repair nalang ni sa Technician? anyone Tried na magpa repair ug video card same issue as mine (blue screen errr0r) na maayos pa?

^ try ug oven bake it bro... basin ang solder joints ang probs ana... try lang... guba naman pud na... hehehe... basin mabuhi pa on this "band-aid" fix... dili man ta maka ilis ug VRAM ICs man...wala'y baligya dha's Pinas... unlike diri's main land China... naa baligya mga VRAM ICs...

depende asa na mo bluescreen. Right after post, during load, immediately after load etc. In my experience overclocking the vram too much, mo nvidia driver error ra man. Sometimes naay moflash na blue screen but wont get stuck on it.
