I read somewhere here that there was already a Federal Republic of the Visayas which the capital was Iloilo City. Then, after the Spanish-American War, this republic wasn't mentioned in the Treaty of Paris. As a result, Visayas and other regions are being under an occupational government by the current Republic of the Philippines.
Visayas can indeed secede from the Imperial Manila if Visayan congressmen, governors, and senators are willing to push it just like the Scottish parliament. But for me, Visayas as a whole is too premature to do this since we don't know our economy will look like once we gain independence from this AbNoy-led occupational government. It looks revolutionary, cool, and trendy on paper to secede but in reality it's complicated.
