    I salute Al Gore for being brave enough to invest his time and effort to expose the truth about what is really happening to the only planet that we know can support human life.

    It is the big picture that until now in some sectors has been labeled as imaginary and impossible. I just hope that before it gets worse we would have the technology and morality to reverse the damage.

    Good luck puny earthlings!

    i have seen the inconvenient truth i think it is also true. Our children will see the effect not us.We contributing in killing our planet. We must also share some ideas how to help our mother earth.We must not more pollute our place to live. we must not think for ourselves but think for your children and grandchildren.They will fill this effect. if you have conscience you must do what is right.There will be someday that we can say that it is too late already.

    the topic is about global warming, and not about meteroids/asteroids, nuclear warheads or the earth's crust/earthquakes. These are beyond our control the way it was presented. Let us not divert ourselves from the topic, which is global warming. Yes, global warming will not annihilate mankind in a quick catastrophic manner that a huge earthquake or meteorite can do, but the changes are already here. Heatwaves in Europe and in America that can now kill people. Changing fishing grounds because of changes in the underwater temperature causing the fish to change its paths. Increasing diseases due to pollution caused by man. El Nino and La Nina phenomenon that are also related to global warming. These are realities of the present, not the future. Global warming's effect as presented in the movie is already here, not waiting to happen 50 years from now.

    Keldricus' quote is very accurate. I am worried, yes. I am concerned, for sure. I see it now, and can only imagine what it will be in the future. But I won't just sit down and enjoy life the way it is without giving global warming a fight. What are the things we as individuals can do? Stop throwing your garbage out the car window, or in the sidewalk, expecting some metro aide to clean up for us. Segregate garbage and do composting (I have 4 different containers for composting and have been doing this since 2 years back). Use more fuel efficient cars. Require our company to strictly observe smoke emission tests and not pay some emission center to get a "passing" score yet smoke belch till kingdom come. Use energy saving lights instead of incandescents or halogens for the house.

    I am sure all of you can contribute something to minimize the effects. So lets be aware of global warming as it is more relevant than our good sun turning into a red giant as what was taught to us in school science. Now, that's looking too much into the future.

    @jollibee

    BUT the different thing is I stopped worrying about those end-of-the-world-thing. Your still gonna die anyway, better enjoy it than worrying.

    .. you still don't get the point do you, it's not the NOW that i'm concerned about, it's not my own life i'm worried about. But my children and my grandchildren. And those so called threats you have mentioned are mostly not-feasible. That asteriod you're talking about still has 10 years before it collides or pose a serious threat to earth or that's what the astronomers said. Nuclear bombs ?? No nation would be dumb enough to launch a nuclear assault, remember, even the americans killed their own president, JFK coz he wants to bomb out Russia with nuclear bombs. And there is no thing as BECOMING overpopulated, we are ALREADY overpopulated. That shifting of the earth's crust is so slow that it will take millions of years before it's effects are felt.

    .. read this link http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/3922579.stm

    .. now, those are facts. If Greenland will melt away and it will melt away, the Great Ocean Conveyor will malfunction and thus creating another iceage. Their estimate is in the next ten years, Greenland will be no more.

    I'm not afraid if the world ends, nothing really lasts forever. What I'm afraid is, how.

    yeah, i'm kind of worried about it too.

    Global Warming is irreversible. as in, once the damage has been done, there's not much we could do. the best we could do right now is be environmentally friendly. plant more trees and all.

    guys, i donnu if you have noticed it too... it should be rainy season now but the weather is sure hot as hell. are we, in a way, experiencing the preface part of this "end of the world?" woah.. .scary.

    there's no planet available pa baya wherein we could transfer or inhabit pa. ... which brings me back to that treasure planet movie. na pwede sila mg create ug ila planet when the earth was annihilated by aliens
