Empty promises are a lot better than empty and unfounded statements you just made.

When it comes down to it, if a Chinese invasion does happen, do you seriously believe that the US and the world at large is not going to do anything? Seriously? If that is seriously what you believe, then you must be blinding yourself from every every conflict since World War 2. The US has learned that being an isolationist like it was pre-WW2 does not work and produced Hitler. The US has since been proactive in it's dealings with aggressive nations.

My point is, as long as there's nothing to gain for, don't expect the kind of backing the guys here are talking about.
You say I may have been blind from every conflict since World War 2. Now, I may not know all the facts but most of the time the US "responded" only when they have something to gain.

I agree though that the only thing stopping China is the US and I'm thankful for that. But that's about it. There was no commitment from the US that they would back us up in times of Military conflict.

Those who have never had to conduct war or served in the military are always so eager with such things.
Obviously a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Ang ingon sa news about sa gi pirmahan na defense pact sa ph ug us kay mu tabang lang ang us kung atakehon ang usa ka Metropolis sa Philippines, Like Metro Manila, and apil na pud didto ang pacific ocean, walay naka state na mu tabang ang US if angkonon na sa China ang disputed islands in the south china sea.

Mainland Philippines and the Pacific Ocean lang ang covered sa defense pact.

The mere act of Obama going to the Philippines ensures that China won't be doing anything too forward within the next 5 years. Obama coming here is like saying "I, under the full authority of the United States of America, acknowledge The Philippine's sovereignty."--And with these reports that China will surpass the U.S. economy within a year, you can bet your two shinny pennies that the U.S. will not take that lying down, and will exert its assets and resources to curb China's rise or undermine its alleged expansion. You think the Balikatan exercise this month and the years before, were merely just for conventional purposes? That and the OEF are Uncle Sam flexing his military muscles RIGHT IN CHINA'S DOORSTEP.
