while sadly this professional squatters are a reality, I wouldn't go as far as saying that everybody who is poor are the same, there are really really poor people who need the houses more than these professional squatters do. Bottom line here is which taxpayer pays the most taxes(in terms of ratio of tax to earnings/capacity to pay/surplus of income after necessities). It's the blue collar workers who are taxed so much they can even hardly feed their families with their meager salaries. While the rich ones? they all enjoy the tax holidays. Why can't government just exempt those earning below a certain amount each day from taxes(e.g. tax exempt for people earning 500 per day)

    What do ya think?
TUMPAK! Ang urban poor dapit sa among property sa Talisay, dako ug mga balay tag 150 sqm pa ang lot, overlooking pa sa dagat.

Most of these people are "tuta" of politicians that's why they were given these properties.

I never imagined when i learned of the process to be "officially" considered urban poor in order to enjoy its benefits is so competitive and not based on qualification and merits.

Ang mga squatters sa among yuta sa banilad tapad sa yuta ni Agusto Go nga na bawi namo sa gobyerno duol sa country mall amo na lang na ipa sunog or gamitan ug goons.

    WHY?

kay ni pirma ug gibayran na, human nangayo na pud. so nagkaso, naa na'y eviction and demolition order, mag isug-isog pa gyud and di ni sila basta2x mapahawa kay na'ay human rights and all other sects nga molaban ani nila.

These people have been living in the said lots for more than 3 decades sukad gi gamit ang yuta for the old Lahug Airport. Kung buot huna-hunaon, sila pa'y angay magbayad namo ug abang.

these are professional squatters gyud because ilang mga balay na'ay tag 20 ka boarders, usually sales girl sa country mall and student sa UC. naa pa'y usa ka barangay official. ang mga anak naa na sa US mga professional na unya di pa gyud gusto mo hawa kay magpabayad ug daku, mo sukol pa gyud ug kiniha-ay, samot kadugay una namo ma gamit among yuta nga sila na nakapanghimulos ug dugay.

hapit na mahurot among pasensiya aning so called "urban poor / professional squatters" lami na kaayo magpa-ihaw ug usa para himuon ug sample or di kaha sunogon na lang tanan kay mga isog kaayo makig patay pa mura baya ug na'ay gisaligan.

if you come to think of it, ang owner pa sa yuta ang gi-harass.

Force eviction jud is a must with this kinds of people. The owner of the lot has all the legal rights. Dapat pa gani sila mubayad for living there. Ka swerte nila noh? Sa lowcost/socialized housing gani, ang mga nagpuyo magbayad og monthly payments. Og kung di kabayad, pahawaon sa company or pag-ibig. Sila pa nga mga squatter?

@lytslpr : naa naman kahay eviction bro, then what happend naman? are they evicted nah? kanindot man diay na inyong pwesto oist!

I have been offered before to have a land for urban poor of our evicted neighbors who are squatting a big private land but i refused. maikog ta sa mga pobre oist kay urban poor lot is intended to them. kung mikuha pa ko sus kadako gyud unta nako ug luna kay pwede man ka mokuha ug daghan slots.

in mandaue especially during the times of the Quano empire, mga rich gyud kuno ang mikuha ug lots intended for the urban poor. how do i know? some of colleagues also have some shares into the lots.

nag inisog lagi, taas lang kaayo ug pasensiya among pamilya. despite the resistance gusto gihapon namo ug amicable ang pagpahawa kay bisan naa pa'y order ang court mag pintayanay man gyud because they think they have so much to lose. ang uban nihawa na pero naa pa sad nagpa ugat, especially kadtong gi negosyo ang ilang pag puyo.

    you know the mentality...
