just read news at NBA.com and found out Haslem might be traded for Alston, ako pa sa Heat maayo pay si Doleac na lang ila buhian..they are also in the right track to acquire Mickael Pietrus froom the Warriors...

With too many player movements, Miami's chances should dwindle a bit this season

Probably someone to give Amare and Diaw some ample time to rest, but I really don't think they badly need a big man this time. Phoenix is a running team and they're way better on the open court. Adding a solid big man inside will slow them down and could put the whole system in jeopardy. As long as Steve Nash is still with the team, they should stick to what they do best, which is to run
They're interested in bringing PJ Brown to the desert. Suns need a big guy no matter what though. It's a case of "panigurado" aron naa pambato in case ma-suspend na pud si Diaw ug Amare.

Aside from Pietrus, they can always get another option in Sasha Pavlovic.

ANYWAYS, back to the Houston Rockets topic:

The Heat is focusing on trades to find a point guard, and talks continue with Houston regarding Rafer Alston (due $14.7 million during the next three years). Though Miami would move Michael Doleac, the Rockets are exploring what other teams would offer.

But, like I said, there is no need to trade Rafer Alston. He's the Rockets' point guard who sticks with the game plan amid of the turnover ratios. Also, the Heat won't actually give Haslem since he's what they need to back Shaq up. Plus, the development of Chuck Hayes in the PF position has given the Rockets a cheap and disciplined player that can excel.

However, if the Heat insists in getting Alston for Michael Doleac (expiring contract), Miami should give more like:

a young player? Wayne Simien can be a nice handout since the Rockets need help in the PF position
Doleac+a future second rounder for Alston

Overall, if Haslem for Alston deal goes through, Haslem would eat $7million a year in the Rockets' payroll in the next 3 years and that would be, for me, too much . On the other hand, Chuck Hayes is simply sitting the kind of guy for the Rockets last season and should be a liable starter in the PF position. NOt worth a million but can play like a one, minus the 15-foot jumper though. But hey, that will improve. Start him.

Yup. Mas dako ug value kung straight up Haslem-Alston. Haslem is making $7million a year and Alson has $4.5million. SO, for me, it's going to be:

    Haslem for Alson+Sura (expiring contract)

Murag di pa siguro na buhian sa Rockets si Hayes. Not unless they get someone better for him.

Hayes did a great job with the PF duties last season and he comes in cheap. The Rockets would be reluctant to send him pero kung willing ang Heat nga i-trade si Haslem for Hayes and Alston, I think kinahanglan jd mo-add ang Heat ug draft pick.

Hayes - young, cheap, room to develop, did well last season but has a chance to dwindle kung i-trade
Haslem - championship exp, 15-foot jumper, defend well, rebound but has huge contract

Hayes has a qualifying offer of almost a million this season but I think motaas na cya overtime.

Mike James was signed by Houston for a variety of reasons, first is because the offense of the Rockets are so predictable, going to T-mac and Yao most of the time, that gave Jerry Sloan a very easy job during their playoff encounter. All of that is going to change when Mike James is around, he's like a Manu Ginobili type, who can come off the bench and create his own shots, he'll most likely be Houston's Sixth Man.

2nd reason they signed him is because Mike fits Rick Adelman's System. He's a slasher, shooter and a very speedy guard. Designed to match the speed of the Suns. It's only how a coach can control him will be the determining factor for his effectiveness in the team.

If Luis Scola plays as well as advertised, then it's pretty safe to say that : "Houston, You have a Team !"
