for me, Haswell is not a failure... it such that, nice lang gyud kaayo ang performance sa SB ug IB micro-architecture maong lisod ni sila lupigon in its performane on the actual application & games... but kun naa'y refresh sa Haswell, basin mo dako2x na ang gap... but we don't know yet... makahibaw lang ta once maabot na ang refresh... but if ang refresh mogamit ug DDR4, aw, byan ning current SB & IB nato ani... ma pugos gyud ta'g upgrade if dili ta ganahan mag tan-aw sa gap ani... or basin naa'y function na bag-o na wala sa avaiable CPUs pud ron then i-utilize sa apps & games to boost the performance...

unless if mag-overclock, there is no need to dip in to the DDR4 bandwagon ASAP. Remember DDR4 will have the same speed as DDR3 modules and it is still double data. Advantage would only be lesser voltage, mao na lami i-oc and pretty soon we might see modules above 2400mhz as norm.

for me bro, basin big leap sya (namasin lang)... just as what we experienced from DDR2 to DDR3... both are doube data rates... but then again, speculation lang gyud na nako... nag base ra ko sa past experience from DDR2 to DDR3... na dako2x gyud ug leap...

    sakto gyud sir Lloyd_joy

i had read, samsung has DDR4 module already

they said, daku daw ug performance gap than ddr3 at lower voltage

kabasa pud ko ( might be rumors also ) that intel has Mobo + new procie on DDR4 in beta ( ES ) testing

the some lucky ones may actually have benchmarking it at moment ( sir simoko, unsay ika sulti inmo ani..NDA pud ka? hehehe )

haswell is not a failure..na spoli lang mo sa performance sa SB and IB..you brats!

    hahaha

here's an excerpt from Wiki... share lang nko ha... "cut & paste" diretso...

    Benefits[edit source | editbeta]

Its primary benefits compared to DDR3 include faster clock frequencies and data transfer rates (2133–4266 MT/s compared to DDR3's 800 to 2133 MT/s[6][7][8]) and lower voltage (1.05–1.2 V for DDR4,[7] compared to 1.2–1.65 V for DDR3) with current remaining the same.[9] DDR4 also anticipates a change in topology. It discards the multiple DIMMs per channel approach in favor of a point-to-point topology where each channel in the memory controller is connected to a single DIMM.[7][10] Switched memory banks are also an anticipated option for servers.[7]

what I meant kay you won't notice any difference between a DDR3 2133 @ 1.5v vs a DDR4 2133 most likely at 1.3v. If imo target kay above 2400mhz kana nuon but it would probably cost an arm hehe.

"x9x" series for desktop... basin DDR4 compatible na ni sila... so, LGA 1150 all the way na gyud... there will be no more turning back on the LGA 1155 platform... the death of the LGA 1155 socket would be finally realize...

well anyway hopefully haswell does have a DDR4 memory controller, it is most unlikely nga maghuwat pa sila ug skylake to incorporate DDR4

    copy and paste pud. hehehe

basin gani ang AMD bro, inig release sa new offering's nila, DDR4 napud... hold sa ka sa planned FX-8350 nimo... hehehehe... kay basin ang new architecture, big leap from the PileDriver...

sa akoa, karon na time, its not nice for the upgrade... mag feel the waters lang sa siguro ta... para dili mag double2x na unya ang gasto inig gawas sa bag-o from both camps at a big leap in performance from today's offerings...

paging bro LordZhen, naa'y gi post si bro butitoy na link... ayaw sa ahat sa LGA 2011 mobo ron... hehehehe... (sige lang panintal noh?)... hahaha...
